Both sides know what to expect from each other and because of that things get usually done quicker. Finding a new producer takes time, new contracts need to be negotiated, and they're often backed up with work already and don't have time for new people available. Whereas if you are already a "regular repeat customer" of an existing producer, he'll give you higher priority on your future projects because he wants to keep your relationship
