Apparently there was a [Kiara Mention] in a promo presentation stream for some new Sims expansion pack.

So I checked what it was. Context - they're introducing a new job career for the Sims, "Simtuber" an obvious vtuber reference, and one of the presenters said "oh btw my favorite vtuber is Takanashi Kiara" unprompted.

I kind of felt like this early 2021, then I learned to mostly ignore the schizos and just pay attention to streams. If 4chan is the only community where you discuss vtubers then take a break from here, try and talk about streams in other places like reddit, twitter or even the discord. The forced positivity sucks if you get too much of it but so does the forced negativity from here.
Also, don't force yourself to pay 100 attention to every second of every stream, sometimes you're better off playing a game or taking a nap and then checking the timestampsafterwards for anything that sounds interesting

bait aside, the logistics probably wouldn't work out anyway. Nevermind how difficult it is to do actual "travel vlogging" as a fucking vtuber in the first place (best case I can imagine it somewhat working out is something like the outdoor "Legend of Polka" segments where her manager records some irl footage and the vtuber edits in her own narration on top later), Hololive is mainly build on the format of hourlong livestreaming multiple days of the week. Travel vids take a long time to prepare and the output is mostly "just" a 10-20 min video after a week or two. The cost/benefit efficiency is just not there. As an occasional random one-off segment, sure fine, but a dedicated "travel vlogger vtuber" where that's most of her content would probably not work.
Most fans would probably not appreciate this meager output, we've already seen how much whining there was during the recent offcollab arc when there was so little streams because they all had stuff to do

What non-Holo vtubers did she even have any meaningful interactions with? Mostly other already big ones, naturally. Pomu's already in Niji and unlikely to leave, then there was the V*i episode and yeah that's not happening either. And she didn't really have much meaningful interactions with many smaller vtubers (ie. the most likely applicant pool Cover would draw from for EN3) either. There was Momojelly, but no offense she's not really Holo material. And for all the occasional mention of finnish Lumi for example, did their actual interaction go any deeper than a few superficial tweets? Probably not.

For all the talk about how she wants more yuro vtuber friends, she does surprisingly very little actual networking, reaching out and actually building meaningful relationships with potential people, so the sentiment isn't all that serious either. And to be fair, it's perfectly understandable what's so difficult about it. She's a Holo, so (depending how you measure it), already one of, if not the, biggest and most popular european vtuber, so anyone else she'd be reaching out to or responding to their advances would be most likely be much smaller than her. And then there's always the risk that you don't know that the other people could be just using you to leech, grift and clout-chase, and she's probably sensitive about that, for good reason.

yeah, I thought to add that as well, since before she became a Holo vtuber, she wasn't really involved in the vtubing scene altogether (unlike some other people who have been doing the vtuber thing for longer, especially newer people who came into it after Hololive already made vtubing more popular), so it's only natural that most of her old pre-existing content-creator/entertainer friends and acquaintences (ie. the people you'd usually think of as nepotism-potential) come from her "old" scenes (cosplay, idol stuff, japan traveloggers etc.), and it's doubtful how much nepotism potential there actually is (ie. would Kiara really want to bring those people into Holo, would they even want to, and would Cover deem them qualified?)

Sure, there are a couple of yuro indies and smallcorpos who I'd love to get in EN3, and not just because I want Kiara to have more potential friends to hang out with, but most importantly also because they have the actual qualities to be good Holos themselves. But it's up to them to apply, and up to Cover to select them, and so far they have shown very little concern for the geographical distribution of their talents so that "hey, we have currently only one EU holo - we should improve that and maybe look to include at least one more yuro in our next gen probably?" doesn't seem like a thing that is very high on their list of selection criteria priorities. They seem happy enough stuffing EN with mostly NA girls, and even found it better to add not just one but two AU holos in EN2 instead of a single more yuro.
If Kiara doesn't make the case to Cover, nepotism or not, I doubt they will make the case for her either

She could prepare some backing recordings of herself beforehand (or if she's lazy and it's just gonna be songs she has already sung before anyway, just use clips from previous karaokes), and then live-overdub some harmonies or slightly different melodies on top of that for an actual "duet".

I say "actual duet" because it'd be kinda a waste/pointless if she just sang the same exact melody twice as an exact double copy. That may be sufficient if you're "dueting" with another Holo (i.e. taking a karaoke clip of them and using it as your backing so you're still both just singing the same melody, like she has done a few times before already) because then at least the voices will be somewhat different plus this kind of impromptu "pseudo collab" has at least some sentimental fanservice value. But if you're just dueting with yourself you should be able to switch things up a little.

Well, in the end it just depends on how good she is with coming up with improvised harmonies and adlib layers herself. I only know Gura can do it on the fly (because she has done it a few times already in similar "remote duet" karaoke situations), but it'd be cool if Kiara could also add a little spice like this which would be a nice little stunt to make the karaoke a little bit different and fresh from the other ones
