Pekora was about to accept Miko back into her life during that Mario Party stream when she joined in, however she joined with Suisei, her old but new friend, and Pekora immediately felt excluded and asked if they joined together to which they basically laughed and said no but obviously they did.
Pekora realized her friend was fine without her and it made her feel so inadequate she just couldn't get herself to stream with Miko from then on.
Their only interaction after that was a pep talk by Miko which Pekora couldn't run away from gracefully and probably felt kinda good about but it did little to dispell her insecurities.
During that summer, miComet collabed nonstop while Pekora was all alone.
She is incapable of dealing with this and decided to completely avoid it instead
