Nerine reminds me of Matsuri, in a sense that they both are losers in the social stuff, have the potential to make good stuff and have self-destructive tendencies. The big difference is that Matsuri managed to get out of her own loop, by a combination of her own efforts and her friends.
Nerine on the other hand is alone. By her tweets it's obvious she desires to be part of a group and be looked up as a senpai. She probably started being a vtuber because she saw the teetee between some pairings from Holo and Niji and wanted to experience that. She probably thought that just by becoming a vtuber everyone would want to be friends with her only only to crash against a wall, realising she needs to actively seek that friendship instead of just waiting.
The other big difference is that Matsuri, at her worst is just a virgin with rage and despite that she never attacked neither her fanbase, her coworkers or other youtubers. Nerine on the other hand had political sperging, celebrated when others that didn't agree with her ideas were banned, got in fight with her own fanbase and nuked everything in the worst PR movement done by any indie youtuber.

What in particular makes you think that, do you have concrete examples or is this just remote psychoanalyzing? (Genuinely asking, I'm not too familiar with all the details of her social media output, I only hear second-hand info when she does another fuckup).

Did she ever comment on Hololive at all, any pro or anti stuff that'd give a hint about her feelings?
I only know that before the EN debuts she was one of the hottest, most talked about probable candidates, and of course that didn't pan out - and then she did debuted just a while after as a vtuber on her own so a lot of people were connecting this into the rrat of "hurrdurr, probably got rejected by cover!", but I don't know about that. You seem to have given this more thought, do you know any more about her?

About the holo stuff, the biggest signal that maybe she was going to join is that during the time after she nuked everything, she was following Coco's roommate. Close to EN debut she stopped following her.
The other sign was before when she made a l2d of her old avatar (That was honestly pretty lulzy, the head had the shape of a square and the proportions were fucked up) and of course that made a lot of her chat ask her if she was going to join hololive, something that she avoided to answer at all (One of the requirements when you audition is to not be retarded enough to scream at everyone you made an audition for hololive)

Well, unlike Senz who left on good terms, Valkyrie didn't and dragged her Patreon supporters to hell. Imagine paying for video content, only for this autist to basically ragequit and private all her videos. Ame did it to protect her identity because her real face was in there, but in this case, there wasn't really doxxable things in her videos. which left everyone baffled. She won't reactivate them, and even when you ask her politely for the videos, Which is your right as a Patreon donator, you're getting the banhammer.

Senzawa left her fans the right way by letting them know, and she never really left. VA left her fans horribly because she never gave reasons as to why she left, as well as literally just rebranding her Twitch channel as Nerines, which to some Patreon Supporters was a slap in the face.
