I can promise it's not just one thing but combination of issues.
1. Her back injury in particular limits her ability to stream long hours.
2. I bet management is on her case about her numbers and given her ability to stream is hamstrung due to health issues, there isn't really a path forward to increase viewership for her.

HoloEN filled a niche for EN vtubers from hololive when people were hungry for it in 2020 and there was big hype for EN2 but then they mismanaged all of it.

One of my dissapointments with Kronii is that even though that she is a supposed pokeautist and has a perfect time space theme to go along with Sana is that she gave up on her Pokemon DP playthrough quickly.

Meanwhile on the JP side you have kino dual playthroughs like Okayu vs Subaru, Botan vs Lamy and Marine vs Kanata, in the case of Marine Kanata they even had a cool gimmick like Yugioh Battle City where the winner of a battle takes a pokemon of their choice from the loser.

I doubt it, simply because Hololive doesn't make a profit off the thousands of peons just watching the stream, it makes money off whales. These guys are generally in high paying, male-exclusive fields and vtubers are their only interactions with women that aren't in HR. They're not worried about their jobs.
If anything, and with the obvious, glaring exception, NijiEN is more vulnerable because it's gone all in on the "dude you're just watching these streamers for fun there's no real emotional connection here" angle and driven off the kind of whales that can keep you afloat.
