With just a little practice you can get used to watching video at a higher speed. Like anyone can with no issue at like 1.5 speed, but as you do it more you get used to like 3 or 4x after not long at all. If you can watch at 4x speed, you can catch up on vods you aren't able to see live. And just knowing you can do that makes it feel like less like you're missing out and makes the streams you can catch more fun.

I dropped the big corpos early on. Because of the vtuber boom in 2020 I ended up with a lot IRL friends and acquaintances becoming vtubers or joining startups and I ended up staying with them and modding for a few to stay connected.
