The entire gen kinda flopped but she especially. If I remember correctly she had weird early morning stream times for an EN and didn't really stream interesting games at all. She seemed like a really sweet girl though. She went back to being an indie so she doesn't have to give a company a cut of her meager earnings.

What people don't understand is that at the time you could count the number of riggers that could produce a model of that quality on your hands. There weren't as many guides teaching you how to rig high quality models at the time so it wasn't just a skill you could pick up easily.
Artemis was one of the few indies that had the money to afford a model that matched corpo quality and stood out.
But a lot of new riggers showed up and everyone quickly caught up to corpo quality. Artemis' model isn't special anymore these days.
Turns out that you can't just retain an audience because you have a good model while 90% of your content is "I'M GAY LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL".

This thread is, presumably, not talking about rigging. It's talking about character design.
You can have a good, clean, interesting character design, but shit rigging.
The thing, at least from what I can gather, with Artemis was that the design was clean and cute, with solid colors, AND incidentally had rigging that wasn't shit, paired with an obvious troon, who was also incredibly uncharismatic.

The thing that makes him really stand out is the unconventional colour for the inner mouth and sharp teeth. I dont think hed be that interesting to look at otherwise. In fact when he first came into being thats what struck me after seeing just the face, just how simple the rest of the body is. Its okay and stylish, but not that interesting.

I don't think the yab will matter much to most people as long as she doesn't fuck up on stream again. Gachis that do research will surely know to stay away, but everyone else will just see a talented streamer with a ridiculously cute and funny model and watch her. Just gotta learn to separate the reality from the kayfabe because it's not like you are fucking her either way. All that goes out the window if she tries GFE though. That would be career suicide.
