It's also not fully random but regulars gets priority.

Basically. If someone gifts out 5-200 gifts and you didn't get one, you're unlucky. If you already clicked "allow gifts on this channel" then you just have to wait to get one to see the notification (it's VERY obvious when it happens.)

They're added a new way.

If you push the Join membership button, click on the three dots on the top right you can toggle gift memberships. You have to do it to every individual streamer though.
