Is it just me or is Irys like, a complete failure with their niche of being "a singer" being completely overshadowed by Mori and Gura? I never actually gave her the time of day either because there's something extremely uncanny about her model, like it just doesn't fit with everyone else. What was Hololive thinking with her?

That's all. They looked at things literally and assumed her power level was 5-10x that of gura's past viralness and if so she could have been the gura killer or Salome from another timeline. Myth was a great case of scouting with a wide range of "talent" if you will, BUT there was still someone out there who was arguably an EN1 reject that they realized could have defected to niji/etc which would be bad. They weren't quite ready for a full EN2 at that point so they did some solo singer debut just to get her locked into her contract and not care about her.
