I haven’t heard even a single word about uproar since their debut, and it just makes me wonder what went wrong. One of the member's new songs was pretty decent, but I didn’t see any discussion at all. Their numbers are low even for holostars's standards

In other words, they need to attract non-Holololive fans, and the Holostars are not that attractive.

Nothing went wrong. Not going through all the months but at a glance

Gamma - Ranges 5K-12K in Vod views while sitting at 56K. He sees a buff in his drawing streams and a what not. Not really much to say here
Fuma Ranges 2k-17K in Vod views mainly depending on the game, the time and if its a collab or not. He's really good at collabs. His orginal rap has reached 30K . He's the most subscribed at 61K. He's also purposefully debuffing himself and probally could get Sora to collab with him if he called in some favors from back in the olden days.
Uyu- Ranges from 1K - 5K Vod views. Sitting at 56K subs. Suffering grom streaming too often and too long and unarchiving things, and seems to be the newest to streaming. Slowly coming into his own though.
Rio - Ranges from 3K to 11K (not counting the Baeollie collab which is at 17K). Got debuffed by how nervous he was and i t can show in collabs. Most popular are his singing and Minecraft streams.
