Because everyone knows deep down she actually has a boyfriend and she's just another liar.
The "roommate" was a haphazardly prepared excuse which doesn't account for her abruptly ending the stream when there was a knock on her door. If it was really her female roommate there was no need to do that and she could've just addressed it then and there, "oh it was just my roommate, here say hi". Literally no one would have cared.
The discrepancy is that her "roommate" had plenty of time to come over to her place in the time frame of her ending her stream and starting up the other stream to be used as the excuse and Laplus herself was defensive as hell. It just doesn't make sense for her abruptly end her stream and to be as defensive as she was over a fucking roommate. The whole thing felt like a performance as well. Her boyfriend was in another room the whole time just waiting for them to wrap it up.

I personally don't care. I've never even watched Laplus because I don't care about her content. It's just funny to see so many retards lack any manner of critical thinking whatsoever and just eating her bullshit up when it's obvious as fuck she has a boyfriend (as do a majority if not all the other Holos). She's young, horny and stupid so her reaction to it all makes sense too.
