I'm going to throw in my two cents regarding this situation. I wasn't here while it was unfolding so it took a while to gather up the pieces. First and foremost - I miss Gura. I miss regular and semi regular streams which she used to do. We've had huge gaps with no streams, no schedules and effectively no info. I fully expected and internally agreed that she should have some time off, some kind of fun outside of streaming and enough free time to find new hobbies, interests, fulfill some long standing wishes she perhaps couldn't before and so on. That's what it means to reap the rewards of the last year of work. Likewise, her lack of communication isn't a problem to me, I've gotten used to it and understand her motives - but tolerance has its limits. The point here is that with all the hiatuses, absences and so on coupled with her proverbial silence everything falls apart. I'll not mince words - the majority of the last year was lackluster and I feel that she has effectively stopped putting in any real effort. This was smokescreened by her doing perpetual "things" from sponsored streams, cover songs, collabs and what I consider gimmicks. The whole birthday stream was a gimmick with no emotional investment or resonance on her part, and it is in stark contrast to her first birthday stream. Somehow along the way she... well, lost her way, and I wonder if this is due to some decision she made or the bad influence of her genmates.

Yes, bad influence of her genmates. I don't blame any one in particular, but it is blatantly clear to me that all of them are at their best when they stream and work alone. This utter clusterfuck of the offcollab only confirmed my thoughts on that. I genuinely do not care about it. I haven't watched a single stream about it in any combination and have no interest in doing so. It's a feeling of "I don't care" that arose without effort on my part. Yes, I watched other chuubas instead and had a good time. Myth simply does NOT work as a cohesive whole. They are all at their best when they're solo, and from what little I've seen of the offcollab streams only solidified my opinion. Do you know what I saw? Basic bitches. Straight up. When they're together they become basic bitches at the very edge of vulgarity and fully trivial. It's genuinely unlike anything I've ever seen in vtubing, because usually collabs can work great and thought I won't mention any non-Holo chuubas I immediately think of a few pairs that are great together, to the point that the fans go giddy when a collab is announced and audiences start sloshing over both ways. But Myth? Myth brings out the WORST in each other and I say with no hesitation that I DO NOT and HAVE NOT enjoyed any of their collabs, and this culminated in this bullshit we got now.

Mori fucked up. Again. And nobody will do anything just like nobody did anything the last time. Gura is still too naive, too good, and maybe has too low an opinion of herself and she absolutely will stick up for Mori. And that's tragic, because Mori isn't only a shit friend, but that kind of person that is a perpetual liability and that is always, ALWAYS involved in some kind of trouble and brings everyone down with them like a black man drowning in a lake. Gura, for the love of God realize that SHIT FRIENDS are worse than being lonely. Much, much worse! You don't have to save her, bother with her or be her lifeline. DO NOT put yourself in a situation where you'll have to haul her ass out of whatever bullshit she gets herself into.

"Shenanigans," as Mori put it, is most likely just stupidity because I don't think she's smart enough to come up with the thing as an actual quip directed towards us. But her cucking to her sister, the party, putting Gura in this position and her utter lack of common sense and basic reasoning is just gross carelessness. And this all loops back to the fact Mori never took this seriously and has no respect for vtubing, or BASIC SAFETY of her friend who goes to great lengths to remain private.

I am tired. I am tired of Myth, of EN, of all of this. Being invested was once a rewarding experience and it has now become just a source of endless worry, disappointment and perpetual uncertainty. Just start streaming regularly again and fuck off with all the other bullshit and gimmicks and such. Because all of this has just become exhausting and cynical. Either find your spark again, put in the work and STREAM, or get out of the way and stop wasting our time.

I was in a similar situation once and it was pretty hard on me. I gave up after 6 hours and went to wash my face then before I returned to my room people tried talking to me. If I ignored them they would've talked shit about me and the people who invited me so I had to pretend to be polite and greeted them but they got curious I wasn't with the others and they started getting interested.

I don't know how bad is Gura's social anxiety but if it's not as bad as mine there's a chance that she went to check the party out and had snacks and drinks and possibly alcohol just like what happened to me, the difference is that I was 17 at the time (yes you're not allowed to drink at 17 but everybody did it anyway and I was one of the older people at the party too), there were no adults around.

I'm not sure about this since I have never rented such a place, but common sense tells me this is undoubtedly a violation of the rental agreement.
