Right, we are certainly able to pay off any potential tarrifs you might impose over products you sell to us. Now, we do want the space station as an ally, or at least in our sphere of influence, healthy 2 way economic relations are a great way to ensure this. We are to consider that sanallites also use our postal system and logistics for anything they might import from any other nations and so it might costs very large, this could be resolved by a free trade agreement between our nations to ensure cheap trade of goods.

You will have an ally, but /nasa/ will do its own thing. Grand Directive says we shouldn't be spheres of influence to other nations and vice versa. We sent diplomats to /uuu/ in hopes to establish a friendship between nations. And we hope that Sanalites will have a friendship with hoomans as well. /nasa/ thinks the best relationships between nations are positive cultural ones rather than cold hard trade deals with benefits. If the people of /who/ and /nasa/ like each other then business will naturally boom between them.

If /nasa/ imposes a tariff on imported goods from /who/ then it will be 1-2%. The taxes are necessary to fund both the protection of goods and the investment of transportation infrastructure like roads and seaports. Mozzies do buzz around /nasa/. And they have raiding convoys. Fortunately we're able to stop them with minimal casualties (fortunately no deaths). But raids take a toll on our weapons, ammo, and armor. Normally I would be against taxes. However given the state of /nasa/ they are a necessary evil for development.

You thought you could hide from me?

Anyway i feel like this is relevant for saplings

I'm good with Golden Apples being a mythical item. As for the usual kinda fruits I would say we would follow the fruits that usually grow in temperate environments such as fruits in the Rosaceae family including: Apples, Apricots, Plums Peaches, and Cherries. Along with any kind of berry, there are plenty of kinds.
Special fruits idea seems good too, of course, fruits that are attached to the ents would see around the clock kind of care and would therefore be the most pristinely tended to and be the most flavorful of their kind. If the Risuner means fruits that hold some kind of magical property just scattered along the forest, I'd say probably not unless we gave fruits that grow close to the Elder Trees have some kind of vague magical power but that sounds like a copout.

You might want to anchor this info if you don;t have similar info put out already.

This is really good! I honestly love the way you portray Rosebutas, it’s pretty damn close to how I imagine it myself. No real criticisms here. I am interested in what you do with the Babirusa, in particular. If it actually helps with your story, I’ve edited how a Rosebuta can turn into a Babirusa. Beforehand it had to be more of a conscious action, but now I’ve changed it so a Rosebuta can change so long as he just believes that he has betrayed the Lovedaughter. Now, if for example you imprison a Rosebuta and force him to spill secrets, he has a chance of turning into a Babirusa because he believes what he has done is betrayal even though it was unwilling.

Nice! Glad to hear it. I know you've put thought in the ways Rosebutas are not exactly like humans, so I'm trying to capture that instead of just portraying them as human with a different appearance. That's great info on the babirusa! That actually lines up perfectly with what I have planned, the extra specificity is good.
And for the record, my headcanon is that Dia looks regretful because she has to tell everyone to stop eating the troll, not because they were eating it kek.

It's that time again, I'm going to stir the hooman nest and suggest two possible additional applications of chuubanite since I'm pretty sure no final decision was reached last time.

Memory
>By expending certain amounts of chuubanite, the user can gaze into the 'memory' of an object. For example, what stepped on a broken twig or the general appearance the person who discarded a bloody knife at a crime scene. Ties into history and that time I exposed an anti for being a furry pissfag
Orator
>Leaning into the gathering of humanity into civilization (and some indirect inspiration from holocure), the user can 'buff' others in a group depending on their size so long as they stand unified in one purpose. Usually used by field commanders to rally the troops to help temporarilly ignore the pain of their injures and remain stalwart in the face of enemy forces despite their fears. Can theoretically be used by musicians, politicans, etc. but the military would likely do it's utmost to maintain monopoly on it.
Feel free to call me a dummy if these are dumb

Maybe memory is done with imprinting visions on paper or something? You can make a memory machine with lots of pins that take the shape of a memory. Like if someone takes a step on the stone the pins would make an imprint of the boot. You know those toys that's a square with lots of pins that you put over your hand and it makes that shape? That's what I'm thinking of.

I don't think Saplings have any gold to pay tariffs with. Plus I think it'd annoy Saplings if we ask for gold. as for goal rallying, idk. if they have chuubanite related to a goal as a concept, then the empowerment of that goal would empower the chuubanite, but by such an insignificant degree that it might not be noticeable. depends on the chuubanite.

the pin idea is less concrete, and could more easily be replaced by future technology, but is easier to think about, and is less limited by advanced technology. the quantum idea is more accurate to our magic system, and more reliant on our magic system, and could serve the same purpose as the pin idea, but only with the use of neuroscience. if you want the first to be more concrete, explain how to get the information from the object, to the pins. the only vector here is in the conceptual realm, so you need to simplify the mechanisms down to concepts and symbols, both of which can apply to neuroscience in so far as thoughts and imagination are concerned.

Principal Alexander Jason Steele will forever be remembered as the man who made a mistake. Alex locked down the station as a suggestion from Cassandra (ironically enough shares the same name as his dead ex-wife). Unknown to Alex and /nasa/ after the ship's bounce something happened to the warp drive. To repair it Cassandra needed to reroute all system's power. At the same time she must keep a secret about the warp drive under Star Fleet's direct order. During this time Principal Alex was arguing with /nasa/'s council, a group of elected officials to represent /nasa/'s people, about the Grand Directive and the limits of trade. Cassandra saw this as an opportunity to initiate a system lock down. When Alex asked Cassandra about suggestions regarding the Grand Directive she gave him an opportunity. Principal Alex took Cassandra's suggestion to lock down the station in order to teach /nasa/ a lesson.

The lock down backfired on everyone. Cassandra was unable to repair the warp drive in time. A surge happened last minute inside the warp drive, completely destroying it. Meanwhile /nasa/ had riots. Smugglers took advantage of the rioting to steal technology and sell it to other nations. Because /nasa/ has no physical currency everyone's wealth was locked away. Manufacturing stopped. The spring crop became spoiled before it was able to be processed. The council simply had enough. Council, as representitives of the people of /nasa/, has voted a mutiny to end Alex's lock down. What should have been an emergency to secretly auto-repair the warp core turned into a political nightmare that crippled /nasa/'s economy.

When Mac returned with news and evidence of other space-fairing civilizations Principal Alex finally understood: The lock down was a grave mistake. Alex turned to Cassandra and asked why she gave Alex the suggestion, but Cassandra could never answer the question as she was ordered by Star Fleet not to talk. Knowing that Cassandra threw him under the bus Principal Alex no longer had a case to justify lock down.

Principal Alex was forced to voluntarily resign as principal. His pention is forfeit. And he has been dishonerable stripped of his citizenship. Meaning Alex will forever remain a civilian and treated like second class. Originally Alex was going to leave /nasa/ behind and start a new life in the neighboring country of /who/ as a baker. However new Principal Jonathan Mattock banned all civilians from leaving /nasa/ in the name of the Grand Directive. Out of options Alex chose to toil the rest of his days in the newly opened iron mine. He was a resourceful asteroid farmer before being appointed for office. So tunnel mining comes second nature to him. Alex gets along with his fellow civilian miners well enough. However Alex is still looked down upon as the man solely responsible for crippling /nasa/'s economy in a time they were prospering. Alex will forever be remembered as the principal who made a grave mistake.

Jayawan logs ch 3.

Ok. So I decided to do a little research on these hoomans. They all act so miserable all the time and I really want to help them. There has to be a reason. One of the guys told me they have this place called a library that stores an absolute insane amount of information. So that's where I started my investigation.
I had a lot more time on my hands since the 2 other parties left for the border. Still, I really envy Hamdani desu. She gets to have all the amazing druid sex while I figure out help to help the hoomans.

So about this library place. HOLY FUCK ITS BIG! And there is an insane amount of information here ranging from pretty much all topics. Since we cannot read the language of course I have decided to step up along 2 of my crew members to ask the hoomans to teach us their ways of speaking. As is risuner tradition we are not going to force them to learn ours. If they came to us that would be a different story.
This is probably going to take a few months but the witches and elders did give us a very long time to be here. It would be super useful as well because apparently the dryads speak somewhat similar. At least that is a rumor.

I told the rest of the crew anything that they did not know already. In order to get out of the dock area and inns I split the crew up into 3 scout teams to explore some more of the nation. Luckily we could just use the trail from the other 2 expeditions to make it easier.

Finally I decided to do something in addition to learning the language. I want to go to who ever is in charge and ask them to allow free sex everywhere. Normally I would never impose such an insane idea but I have seen so many bland faces and these people seem like they need liberation from whatever cruel government controls them. Maybe I am misunderstanding but for now this seems like the right thing to do.

Also reposting the places names I came up. Could be recycled

Deltton: Port town in the North?
Rihter: River next to Capital(can also be a 2nd large river that flows through /who/, if so /uuu/ would have a different name for it)
Rihteford: Either town near upper Rihter river or Capital itself (Victory -> Rihte, yeah I know it's lame)

Porsfurous(Ports-fo-rus): Largest river, leads into the ocean
Pruliybebroug(Pru-ly-Be-broug): Largest steel manufacturing city & industrial center, near Upper Porsfurous
New Eulhaven(Yule-haven): Largest port city, next to the mouth of Porsfurous. Expanded from older Eulhaven at the West side of Porsfurous' mouth, integrated a few nearby townships.
Noctea(N-io-ti-a): Old capital(maybe, for a short period), likely oldest city, relatively close to Eulhaven

Byraria(By-A-ria): Penisular in the Southwest
Gulf of Byrathum(By-A-tum): Gulf formed by Byraria & mainland
Sirretus(Psy-Re-Tus): Islands north to Byraria

Another hooman also posted some ideas for city names, if you still have them also post them I guess, can be combined into an anchored name idea rentry for easier access.

Also rep what do you think the general area of /who/ should be called? Like people probably wouldn't call /who/ Republic of Owl every time. They would probably refer to name of the geographical region it is located in occasionally. iirc an anon proposed Olandia a couple threads back.

A lot of the names don't match up with english pronunciation because they're from other languages (like Byraria for example), so we'd probably anglicize them into more readable things.
Rihter sounds a lot like river I'm realizing, I kinda like that. I don't think I'll use it for the capital itself. I also don't know how Victory gets transformed into Rihter.
A lot of the names are quite long and don't really fit the simple naming style we're trying to go, the most egregious example being Pruliybebroug probably due to not being english originally, needs to be messed with.
I was planning on the current capital being the first city, with an inner push into the continent and an outer push to the coast in wars deciding current borders. I haven't written it down anywhere so it can be disregarded easily.

Olandia... sounds bad. The current official name is Owl Republic in respective languages so maybe it gets shortened to OwlRep, HibRep in french, FlinRes in russian, WaKyo in japanese or something. There's not really another republic in our part of the continent (or in the continent anywhere actually) So it getting shortened to just "Republic" made sense to me, we can always keep brainstorming for shortenings (just not "x-land" please).

>just not "x-land" please
I it kinda makes sense for the simple naming convention we are going for. Land where the hoomans live? Hoomanland... JK but I think for a shorthand the name should be an exonym for the reasons you described. Like in /who/ people probably refer to themselves just as hoomans and the country is just the Republic. Same for many of those who live in the western continent. But on a more international scale, people would probably start to use a name specifically for /who/, like for example Germany vs Deutschland. Maybe a name of latin origin(aka Holo Imperial) to describe the Western parts?

This is actually an interesting subject. In IRL livestock bred for consumption, males are typically castrated asap. This is because the hormones associated with male puberty sometimes affect the taste of the meat, and that taste is generally not well liked, though just what the affect is varies from animal to animal. For example, in poultry it has no noticeable affect at all. In sheep and goats, it typically just makes the flavor of the meat heavier -- preferred by some cultures and disliked by others, who find it too gamey. In pigs, it results in an almost rancid odor, referred to as "boar taint," that is universally disliked. These flavor changes don't always happen, however. Off the top of my head, for pigs I think it's something like 1 in 3 uncastrated males which end up with boar taint. Given the genetic similarity between pigs and humans (not to mention how frequently humans are described as "tastier pork" by actual cannibals), I imagine we'd likely have similar statistics. Therefore, for the purposes of consumption, I imagine male chuubas that frequently exhibit aggressive behaviors -- malding, fighting with antis, arguing with chat -- may be lower value due to the possibility of high testosterone levels affecting the flavor of the meat. Outside of that, you're probably right about them generally having leaner meat.

As an aside, if allowed to reach sexual maturity and reproduce, this dichotomy flips. Female cattle etc that have gone through pregnancy usually wind up with tougher, less tasty meat than their male counterparts.

Well, the level of androstenone (one of the main contributors to boar taint) does correlate to testosterone level, so an elevated level of it leading to a stronger "human taint" seems likely (admittedly, we don't have a lot of information on the difference in taste between castrated and uncastrated men). Then again, won't "cute boys" usually have a lower testosterone level than their non-cute counterparts?
The paper I found also suggests diet plays a fairly big role in controlling body skatole level, so maybe controlling the diet of captives before harvest can help mitigate it. Then again, castration after onset of puberty doesn't seem to affect meat taste much, so maybe it can't really be helped unless /meat/ starts some kind of human farm for better boy meat.
Probably unrelated, but a paper I found suggests that skatole and androstenone level is (slightly) lower in pigs when they're raised in a more hygienic environment, so maybe things would fare better for humans since most of them don't tend to wallow in their own crap. All things considered, it seems to point towards the idea that the prime source of male human meat would be pretty boys who're well-cared for. excellent...

It is up to others to find how they decide to refer to us, the deadbeats just refer to us as the hooman republic for example, I don't believe we need to create an exonym for ourselves because again, it is up to the other generals to decide how to refer to us. We already have an official name after all. Other generals have developed their own conlangs to which they would transform that official name to. That's how exonyms form after all, Germany has a large amount of exonyms due to being a divided realm for most of its existence, but other places like France which had a decided identity since very early on is mainly referred to as names derivative of their offical name. /who/ as written in lore would fit in the latter category.
The holo continental language hasn't really been defined much anyways. It can also be assumed that due to a powerful printing press our language (and by addition our official name too) would be spread around our sphere of influence and neighbours around.
Shorthands used by our own people would be more varied I guess.

Basically, the continental shelf should be left more or less unmodified. This could work, though the archipelago could use some work to look more natural. >>26817830
>>26862859 This is also a possibility conceptually, but that specific geography doesn't really work, you can't have huge lake in the middle of a landmass like that... Maybe have multiple smaller lakes? Keep in mind, /ggg/ is quite literally the biggest country on the planet, a bit larger than IRL China, so even lakes a tenth as big as the ones here would be big enough to house an underwater metropolis.

I've been doing shrimp research and some of the shrimp I found live 200-300m underwater. Thats about 700 feet so they can be human sized and still fit comfortably. For reference, a human diver can only go down 200 feet. The buildings won't need to be tall especially if we want to go with a Greek design for them. But that only works if we can get the land to exist that deep

According to >>26864555 we can go 300m at the deepest so if a city starts there, at 700ft below, and the tallest buildings are only around 200ft tall (the Pantheon is 143ft tall and I'm basing the number off of that), then that gives a 500ft buffer between the tallest building and where a human can reach. Also I should mention here >>26864338 I forgot to specify 200 feet is the deepest they can go for recreational purposes. With the proper equipment a diver can reach depths in the thousands. So any human down there would need to have a special type of air tank, the proper suit and other gear, along with the training to deal with the pressure difference

Man, I love it here. Nobody in my usual threads wants to talk to me about the logistics of human livestock.
> the prime source of male human meat would be pretty boys who're well-cared for
Given stress is also known to negatively impact the taste of meat, this makes sense. Well-bred pretty boys from countries advanced enough to give them relatively easy lives would make for the best meat. This likely makes good quality male meat something of a rarity. The need to then provide both a gilded cage to prevent distress and carefully controlled diet while the livestock is being prepared for harvest would also make the investment cost quite high. Economically, would this result in high quality male meat being regarded as a sort of luxury good, due to the difficulty of procurement? Normal male meat acquired off the average random, on the other hand, is probably dirt cheap.

>> No.26866227

>>26865948
if we are talking about /meat/, we target chuubas because they evade the life cycle, so we want their last moments to be full of all the steps of the cycle, including suffering. fisher-senpai said he tenderized grace-chans butt before roasting it, and it was still good eatings, so i take it it’s a lifestyle thing, right?

>> No.26866261

>>26865948
>the /meat/ cult deepens...
Yeah, there's no doubt that high-quality meat like that would be a luxury that only a selected few with means and probably connections can afford to enjoy - we're talking about basically raising a human like a noble from birth to at least pubescence, after all. For current /meat/ lore, I would say it's closest to https://rentry.org/vtwbg-meatlore#wentli, although it isn't exactly stress-free due to religious requirements.
Regular meat would be significantly cheaper (although probably still somewhat more expensive compared with meat from farm animals outside raiding seasons), at the cost of them being of inferior quality in both culinary and spiritual terms. Still, /meat/ has their own use for them as noted in the rentry if you're interested!
That reminds me to ask - does that mean your country would have human livestock? Or is it something that has to be procured in /meat/?

>> No.26866524

Adrenaline spikes in the moment before death have been proven to make meat taste worse. Aside from moral concerns, this is part of why IRL livestock is given quick, painless deaths.
>>26866261
My country won't have human livestock because they'd be against keeping humans in captivity due to their religious beliefs. But they come from a bad future where cybernetics were needed for basic survival due to how terrible pollution became. This resulted in two things: they have absolutely no reverence for the human body due to the level of casual bodily modification that goes on, and limbs/organs/etc removed during surgery would've been considered an extremely rare resource due to the absurd rarity of animals, whether wild or domesticated. It's understood that part of the payment for surgery is whatever bits get removed.
I ended up having a ton of crossover with /meat/, honestly, right down to the advanced medical technology, though implimentation is fairly different.

>human livestock
/meat/ likely has some of them. Many of them would be people with Mai's blessing (ability to heal from many severe/fatal injuries, although it's far from unlimited) who have lost their mind or otherwise deemed unsuitable for other purposes, but I won't be surprised if there are some more conventional human farms running there, especially taking into account of the previous subject. Maybe there would be some crossover with /masfaqg/ as well, given their likely gentrified taste and lack of religious reasons for rituals.

I don't know if drugs affect the flavor of meat. This is because livestock would not usually be given drugs so close to slaughter -- the drugs need to have enough time to exit the animal's bloodstream, or else they will potentially enter yours through consumption of the tainted meat. It's kind of looking like the meat from /meat/'s rituals would inevitably taste kind of whack and possibly also make consumers a little high. The flavor could be an acquired taste, though. It's not like we don't have examples of IRL cultures really liking certain flavors that are typically disliked by those who didn't grow up on them.

I won't be surprised that many /meat/heads would be high during the rituals all things considered (the Aztecs might have done that back then, and to be honest, the more public rituals sound like some kind of fever dreams for bystanders) - so I guess having drugs in the meat makes things easier in that regard.
Still, given that the meat would be a luxury and/or of religious significance in many cases, we can probably say that /meat/heads have a lot of experiments on what kind of drugs to use to ensure the best-tasting product. I guess acquired taste would still play a major role, but that probably comes with human meat anyway (and I guess it's not like there are many non-/meat/ cannibals around to produce comparisons... unless?).
I definitely would love to read if you ever come around writing about human livestock though...

Oh!
Candy Apple bobbing might be hard to do with space helmets on so I'll scratch that idea.
Festival jousting and archery games using the holograms seems like a great way to utilize the tech. Castle building/siege competitions are also a big thing if there's enough material around to work with, festival trebuchet's might even be donated to /nasa/ after all is said and done.

Jousting might be difficult to implement. We could make a hologram game out of it, but it will never replace the real thing. Candy apple bobbing can be done indoors. If not we can create a grabbing tool to use with the helmet to grab the apples. It might be difficult to do castle siege competitions with holograms. Holograms are very limited in supply. We could make a video game out of it. For now we're celebrating in a small village. So lets keep the celebrations to that scale.

Now that I have returned from Ban World, I present to everyone here three different pieces! One from the main saga and two from new sources. Risunerbro needs to read these, he will love it given his fetish.

Main Saga:Chapter XVIII: Love conquers all (rentry.org)

King Magnus:King Magnus "the Bold": Part I (rentry.org)

The Empress’s Diary: Entry from the Diary of Empress Emylia: April 25th, 1108. (rentry.org)

If you read carefully and have read my prior works carefully, you will notice some discrepancies between all three of these accounts, especially the second compared with the main saga. I have made it clear from the beginning that not everything in the main saga is true and neither will be the Pro-Magnus Account “King Magnus the Bold” either.

Both are written by narrators sympathetic to one side and are written in different ways too. I will tell you now that both stories are leaving stuff out on purpose too. Also, the main Saga is not written by one person either, but if you have noticed carefully, it has multiple writers in it as it was commissioned by Pomerlane himself. Magnus’ account will not have this at all, one person wrote it all to defend his former Liege from the lampooning he received.

Emylia’s diary I felt was a good addition to the overall story because it shows us the feelings of one of the most important people in this lore arc from a more intimate perspective. One detail from her diary if you have paid attention DOES contradict the Saga directly, and there perhaps is a reason why the Saga isn’t telling the truth about this one detail. Speculate :)

I am also going to state now that the person who wrote feign instead of feint did it because he uses the same word for both meanings. It totally wasn’t me having autocorrect mess me up and being too lazy to fix my maps!

Also to Retrobro, I don’t know if you read the piece I wrote with the Three Goddesses but you are not getting the “Bringer of Light” per our deal. I will give you the sword he used prior to that, which is still in my opinion a fair trade because that sword is famously used at Pappenheim, the climax of Act I. If you want more, tell me and we can work out the details; but “Bringer of Light” is not on the table because it is the sort of thing that just can’t be bought due to its meaning to the Dynasty.

I also just realized that all of this takes place in the Southern Hemisphere so because I can’t be bothered, I decree that our months are different than that of the North. For example, when it is June in the north, it will be December in the South. Don’t overcomplicate it in your heads, it just means that the months are the same in both lands in terms of season. I guess if you cross the equator the month changes.(I don’t know what calendar is used or if we are using the Gregorian Calendar anyways.)
Rosebro, let’s start writing about interactions between Rosebutas and the rest of NijiEN. It’s interesting that you only have communicated with outsiders LMAOOOO

As always, and especially since I have two new works, I desire your honest feedback on what is good, what is meh and what is awful.

This is a treaty proposal to the Republic of Owl and National Austrailian Space Alliance.

NASA is willing to trade space rations and medicine for gold coins, steel mining tools and other commodities via vendors. Vendors will buy and sell goods between the Republic and NASA. NASA is also willing to pay for shipments of parcels via the Republic's postal service and shipping companies down to trade ports in Atlantis as discussed before. NASA would ship goods via Republic's shipping companies to Atlantis (/ggg/) where the goods are held and exchanged with west Hololive. NASA is also allowing work visas of citizens to move to the Republic to open and operate the Sanalite bakeries in the Republic. The companies will be owned by Sanalites who will pay rent to the Republic land owners whom will lease the buildings and the land. All profits will be taxed by the Republic's customs. All NASA asks is for the bakeries to use NASA food and ingridients and have their facilities maintained by NASA health and safety standards.

Do you accept this treaty. If not then what amendments will the Republic ask?

Concocting drugs for the sole purpose of making harvested meat taste better would require an incredibly deep understanding of biochem. The more drugs you use on someone at once, the more complex the interactions become, too. While /meat/ has a lot of medical knowledge, I was under the impression that they're a fairly primitive society whose medical feats mostly come from a combination of magic and first-hand knowledge of biology. Would your society even have the basic understanding of hormones and brain chemistry needed to begin developing drugs for the express purpose of altering hormones to make meat taste better? Of course, it would make sense if they've managed some success through sheer trial and error, since cannibalism is the entire foundation of their culture.

To be honest, even if that Briskadet comes back and gives me permission to make them cannibals, I'm still not sure I'd be able to write about human livestock. Noctyx's territory is small enough that I simply do not have the kind of space an industry like that would take, not unless I downscaled the population significantly so that there are lots of tracts of empty land. Perhaps if it was a small-scale luxury good, as previously discussed? Hm. I will have to think on this. But I should really stop getting distracted by new ideas and focus on actually organizing the documents I already have so that they're presentable enough to be posted. As much fun as /meat/ is, its hard to imagine many people accepting that as morally ok because it fucks with your mind and shit too. They wouldnt have been accepted into the empire.Second, what justification does any of the other nations have to accepting that as acceptable? Genocide and slavery are awful things but there is a reason why Cannibalism is almost always below them. The Mesoamerica was an exception because their entire world view was formed around human sacrifice appeasing the gods but they did not practice cannibalism to the extent you have.

The gold should be flexible enough that prices of goods change with supply and demand. I think the only thing that should be fixed is the tariffs for now. In NASA's case import taxes are 3% of the price for now, but is required by the vendor to be paid in gold. Tariffs in NASA changes as the laws change. What would the Republic's import taxes be on NASA goods be?

NASA also has fuel credits as an alternate currency. However that's restricted for use in exchanging between Sanalites. Also fuel ctedits has no physical mint at this time. When fuel credits gets a physical mint then we'll consider having credits pay taxes. That'll be explained another time.

With Luunshine, experimenting with the flavor of it is a deadly task so there aren't too many variations of the recipe, in the words of Grandpa Hickerypuff, "The good thing about Luunshine is that when you got it, you know it's good because you'd be dead before you could check if it weren't, nora." Sweet Apple and Apple Cider are the most common and standard variant of Luunshine but the more advanced you go, the more dangerous and more valuable the Luunshine gets. Apple Cinnamon Luunshine goes for alot but it's also the leading cause of spontaneous underground explosions so even the Hickerypuff's disuade people from the attempt unless they're proven Brewnaitos of excellent skill. Sugar Cherry Luunshine is less dangerous than Cinnamon based Luunshine but it's considered more dangerous than the Sweet Apple due to the likelihood of an overpowering taste ruining the sweetness levels.
There probably are some Hickerypuff bandits along the roads leading to Himehearth since it's traveling away from the capital and there's good loot coming to and from Nanonanora, though they tend to only attack if they know there's a definite gain and that they can escape quickly. That goes out the window if they're getting revenge for another Hickerypuff though.

Simply discarding the removed flesh/bones/etc from these surgeries would've been seen as a massive waste of an extremely rare resource, so the parts are made use of. I'm cool to start relatively soon. The main thing is whether you'd like to start it off by having some people traverse into /rose/'s territory or if you'd rather wait until /rose/ actually reveals itself as a nation. Either way though, I'll be finishing the complete comprehension before doing anything big.
>>26899576
I assume you mean Earth as in the planet, so I will say it could be pretty strange. Overall I don't think there would be too much change, though they would be a good deal healthier than most upon birth. Since they would be initially born with enough strength to survive, there wouldn't be a need for them to feast on their mother. The size of a Rosebuta can really depend on how much you feed it. A healthier Rosebuta will be larger and more likely to be a Boar rather than a Rosy. You could start with a tiny little piglet and end up with a two and a half meter tall Boar. The Rosebuta will still be sentient, of course, but how they act will be entirely up to you. As stated before, you could raise the Rosebuta to believe in whatever you wish just like you can do with a normal person.

Why would you perform surgery on the dead? Adaptation may happen eventually but they haven't been in this time period for very long. Likely only a few decades, which is certainly not enough time for such a massive cultural shift. I could push their arrival back further but it would bring into question why technology levels are still where they are. Comfydants would not share future tech developments due to their religious belief that rampant industrialization and subsequent global warming will lead to the apocalypse, but it wouldn't make sense for them to have been around for a long time and not to have pushed for the development of green energy, if for no other reason than because a continent as besieged by schizos as Ninisani is would be in dire need of better defense and weaponry. This kind of fucks with worldbuilding balance as a whole, though, so I'd rather leave them as relatively new arrivals.

I'm also not sure if you're still misunderstanding the scale of the cannibalism taking place. They aren't going around eating their captured enemies or whatever. They're consuming amputated limbs etc removed in surgeries. The parts need to be removed anyway. The only difference here is that they would be making use of those parts instead of just burying or burning them. It's a practice that doesn't affect anyone other than Comfydants themselves and individual people who may come to the Comfydants to get cybernetics of their own. I imagine the practice would be seen as incredibly disgusting to most outsiders, but they also have very little reason to actually care about a purely internal practice enough to ostracize a useful ally over it.

I think one of the main things that's the issue is the lack of a suspension of belief. It's good to try and keep it as realistic as possible in certain aspects, but in others it's better to let a little bit of fantasy take place. Of course in the real world, cannibalism just couldn't be a normal thing. Ignoring societal norms, it's an entire psychological and biological stop that prevents us from doing it. But in a world like this one, it's better to sort of handwave it a little. Of course you shouldn't completely disregard it. Many places in this world hold cannibalism in contempt. But with something like /meat/, that's born from the very idea of things like cannibalism, it's rather dull to just shut down that entire facet of their existence. I think I explained that alright, let me know if you'd like me to elaborate on anything.
>>26900078
I believe I said this before, but a Rosebuta can be taught other languages. They've also been working on a sort of "trade language" that's still their own but dumbed down for other species.
>>26900124
I see. Honestly I don't plan for /rose/ to reveal itself for another year or two in the world's time. The meeting with Risuners plunged the council into some serious debating on their future that they won't clear up for some time. Once all of that fun debating is done, however, they will be revealing themselves officially. After learning what they can from the Sunwalkers.
For the campaign bit, I think you may be underestimating the Rosebutas just a smidge. I feel like the deadbeat's cultural exchange story did a pretty good job of displaying a Babirusa's strength. They can crush a man's skull with relative ease and can shrug off some serious hits. To have such a successful win against a whole swarm of them would take some serious power. Not saying it can't be done, but it would be a damn hard fight and not easy at all. That's why even the Sunwalkers, who have been fighting these guys for ages and know them better than anyone else, still haven't been able to wipe them out and can only barely fend them off from taking any more land.

>> No.26900778

>>26900617
Regarding the campaign. Magnus is an able general and Dragoons id imagine have plenty of experience against these schizos. Their army is also very powerful too, and has weapons like primative flamthrowers and many cannons that would crush them easily I think. Yeah, they might be powerful in a swarm which is why I think they cause issues on garrisons and cant be conquered but certainly can be have their teeth kicked in.

Cannibalism, i just wanted to poke around to see why, even if it came out wrong. I understand it better now.,

Don't worry, it's always good to ask. It's just that sometimes people, especially those whose content you're questioning, can begin to feel like you're going a little too far with it after a while. Not your fault, usually it's just a communication issue.
For the campaign... Alright, I can understand that a bit more if they have experience. The cannons would be useful against such big targets.

Like immediately telling roseanon to discard dragon speculative biology or threatening to wipe entire kingdoms off the map simply because cannibalism is bad. You also have a habit of acting like Pomerlane is invincible and definitely the strongest person on your whole continent. I don’t see why everyone is going to accept genocide as an acceptable practice, but maybe if you had a reason for it, like /meat/, or if you were a reliable ally, like /meat/, or if you hid yourself in plain sight, like /meat/, or if you used all of these reasons to get into powerful positions of other, larger nations to control their view of things, like /meat/, it might be easier for people to accept.
