Yes, exactly. Politics. It's not a discussion on the morality of abortion, for example. Abortion is legal in some countries, a lot more restricted in others. If you're discussing what a specific's country stance on a legal matter is, and what it should be, this will naturally, always, fall under "political discussion".
Saying people shouldn't steal is also not political or controversial, reacting to some ruling that lowers the age of criminal responsibility in cases of theft and robbery in the US, specifically? That's obviously political.
Even worse, it barely even counts as political "discussion", it's just political. All they're doing is dogwhistling. There's only one opinion you're allowed to have on the matter, there's no value to that "discussion" anyway, which is exactly why it's banned in the first place.
For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure the opinion of the people virtue signaling about this on twitter and mine are actually fairly close, doesn't make their virtue signaling any less unnecessary, or any less against the rules.
Know your place, talk about this with people close to you, or try to make a real difference, don't use your reach to influence young, impressionable kids with your poorly researched and thought opinions, you're not an authority on the subject matter, just do your job and shut the fuck up.
