You can go all in with healing and damage prevention since her skills all pop off on heals with few items really pushing damage(at least for what I've unlocked).
Fauna gets out of jail for free and her primary weapon turns into a sniper rifle after the initial spread pattern once upgraded.

Good luck with that when there are waves of enemies encircling you.
You want to avoid damage, but you can never completely negate it, and having the ability to completely ignore it makes you much more survivable.

yes, but the difference between the bucket and it, for example, is that the bucket will always land near you, helping you if you are being circled. the instakill can (and will) eventually start hitting enemies too far away from you to be useful, its too unreliable to be good, its kinda like mori's weapon, it does very good damage and can instakill, but the massive blindspot makes it really bad

Ina is probably the best since she has good crowd control, good self sustain, and an AOE instakill
Gura is probably second since her normal is good and her passives give her really good survivability, damage is somewhat lacking but her debuffs make up for it
Kiara at third since she has decent survivability and decent damage output, her weapon becomes good when awakened aswell
Mori and Ame are at the bottom since all they can do is deal overkill amounts of damage, like you can already practically oneshot nonboss monsters but one of their passives are dedicated to oneshotting nonboss monsters which is kinda stupid.Both of their weapons also suck ass, Mori's scythe has range issues while Ame's pistol can only shoot horizontally. Mori' and Ame's kits are redundant, at least Ame's special gives her some survivability while Mori is just dedicated to nuking the ever living shit out of everyone 10 times over.

Gura's dodge passive is great because it gives her so much more survivability compared to the rest of the cast, it's probably the reason why all the top scores are from Gura don't use the all function when looking at highscores, just look at them individually. You don't need inherent nukes in this game because collabs are your main source of DPS, what you need is good survivability since you can only outrun those schmucks at 25+ for so long. Ina and Gura both probably have those worst damage output in Myth but they have incredible passives to make up for it. Gura has a crowd control that combos perfectly with her Shark Bite which also gives her self sustain and debuffs the enemy while her dodge passive increases your chance of living since it's basically a better version of the headphones, her ult is also pretty decent just for the speed boost which can save you during end game. Ina's tentacle damage does not matter because you have an AOE instakill which pretty much makes Mori and Ame irrelevant since their kits are meant to deal massive damage but who needs massive damage when you can just straight up instakill and gain health in the process? Ina's passives are also good because she gets pretty good crowd control and her slow helps her survivability a bit. Her special is also pretty much a get out of jail free card, you can see that Ina also has one of the highest scores in the entire game since she's so well balanced, right now, the two at the top are Gura and Ina with Fauna trailing behind them.

Mumei's fully upgraded weapon is pretty nutty since you basically don't have to aim and it pretty much nukes everything up till about 15 minutes, in my experience. By then I usually have Coco's collab weapon too.

I think this game is outright better than Vampire Survivors.

The basic gameplay loop is better. Far less knockback and no real damage-on-entry weapons means your survivability is more dependent on your movement. And there are fewer waves where escaping is a damage check, letting you feel more in control during the hard waves. To accompany that you have more hitpoints and you take individual hits if in contact with enemies, not constant damage. This lets survivability abilities have a use. Healing is something you can control and there are many ways to do it. Two tiers of maxing a weapon (max and then collab) gives a bit more granularity to the lategame, and generally your play matters more in the lategame since you still need to move quite a lot. Collecting money and unlocks aren't necessary to beat a stage, meaning each play session stands on its own better. Characters are more differentiated and you can have a playstyle or individual builds. There's just more good choices here and signs the dev understood how the game would change when introducing things like skills, money sinks, and meaningful heals/hitpoints.

The black bubbas are hard as hell to deal with and once you get to the big bastards they take forever to kill, meaning chance of exp and food is is low, and moves too fast. I assume to actually go further you need as much of the upgrades as possible.
The weapon upgrades after awakening is kindof useless with how weak it is, even when using mumei and all attack boost skills.

That Ina tentacle needs a rectangle hitbox, I find myself missing the attack constantly. Also the attack needs insta-turn, that little arrow pointing where it's going towards is really slow turning and is hard to aim especially if you're trying to kite enemies.

So why do people think Mumei's top tier again? She's just another nuke with no other gimmicks like Mori or Ame. Her ult is fucking trash and doesn't synergize with her kit, History's level 1 only gets capped at around 27 mins which means that leveling it up to 2 early on is useless, civilization is pretty good since it can give you a whopping 150% damage boost if there are 50 or more enemies on screen which is great, friend is neat since it can double the dps of one of your weapons and it grabs exp for you like bubba, and her normal attack is really good but that's it. She's just a nuke in a game where everyone can build collabs like micomet, dragonfire, or flattening board for nuking purposes. Her speed is pretty mediocre, she doesn't have her own self-sustain, she has no survivability, and her ult is terrible since it hurts civilization just thought about how genocide hurts civilization, bravo kay, it's start-up feels really long, and you can lose exp by using it.

Her weapon needs to work with the kit. She gets tons of speed which lets her run fast but it doesn't help since most of the damage is coming from the side that is not pointing at anything. Health probably needs to be adjusted on a whole as well because mobs are way too tanky. I don't know how you're supposed to get out of the giant deadbeat wave+boss without tanking a lot of damage. And of course the moment Kronii gets breathed on her passive turns off, so you want to be away from enemies, but you also want to do some dragoon dance to hit stuff chasing you with the big hand. Kronii's ult has a slow ramp-up so stuff will still be chasing you while they wait to die. Now you have to dodge them while having your visions blocked by a giant clock.
It just doesn't flow well compared to say; Fauna, who's entire kit works amazing. Dev must really be a sapling.

I got 4 faunas in a row, so no. If anything it works like every other desire radar and give you the ones you don't want. However, Fauna is pretty good and I've been able to get pretty far with her with the only problem being lack of speed buffs.
