You just need to look at the date of the article to see why he is talking like that. 6 June 2018 its so early in the companies history that SEEDs isn't even a thing yet and literally everybody was saying vtubers are just a fad. Some people even still try to say it until this day. At a time when it wasn't clear if vtubers would even be popular in a years time he is saying that if vtubers in general as a market fade into obscurity and lose popularity then he thinks he is particularly suited to quickly moving onto something else because he works best in short concentrated bursts which is good for reacting quickly to trends.

Not sure why people like OP want to try twist some statement about the quite clearly precarious future of the vtuber industry 4 years ago into him somehow meaning that he is going to sell his stock in Anycolor tomorrow because that's not what its about at all. He got the immediate results OP references from Nijisanji with the success of Mito hence why he stuck with the business
