Hololive members have always been labelled as idols, but the truth is that there was no future for a Vtuber company doing only idol activities back in 2018 so they had to stream a lot of days leaving aside the idol thing as part of the kayfabe, but now that they have a popularity and a lot of hardcore fans, I think that it would be natural for some of the old members to stream way less and focus on doing appearances on programms, 3d lives, releasing songs and doing sponsored content.
