this honestly. The bubble popped sometime during 2021 once youtube was flooded with a bunch of no name small corpos and twitch became a sea of 2views all trying to crawl out of the pile and milk a pratically empty cow while playing lottery with the algoritmns. The community and hobby as a whole are much less niche than it used to be to a point of no return so nowadays unless you tryhard, pander, join a company or sell yourself in some particular way, you're just another coin in the wishing well, saturating the circle to hell
