For me it's how flat her face and eye looks, it's just one fucking color. There is no shading or blushing, and her eyes have no other color shade than yellow, black and white. It's sad because Sana's art coloring is way better

I've said this before, her model looks weird because there is very little volume and visible texture to the hair on the back of her head, so it kinda looks like her bangs and twintails are just floating around her bald scalp. This is very visible when she turns sharply to the side. The design itself is good on paper and looks cute on a lot of fanart because they draw the hair better.
I think it would help a lot if she got a variation of her default costume with her hair down.
