If you don't mind things being a bit music theory related, you can use a tool like this to practice recognizing intervals (major 3rd, minor 6th, etc) and then practice singing them back to yourself. It can be difficult to make those larger interval jumps, but practice makes perfect.

As far as developing a better ear for pitch accuracy, it really is just lots of practice. You need to work towards "hearing" a note in your mind's ear before you sing it. Singing stars with listening, not with singing, if that makes any sense.

What you're doing with feedback training is a good step if you can't tell that you're doing something wrong. If you can tell you're doing something wrong but aren't sure how to correct it, that's where drills for accuracy come in. Work on establishing accuracy by doing something like playing a single note on the piano, listening closely, and then starting to hum into the note. When you're confident you're in tune, you can turn that hum into an open vocalization, like "do" and work from there.

Keep it up, and don't get discouraged if there's no quick fix. It's something you can develop further over time. Do lots and lots of listening, too!

Tell cute stories or don't slip up - unless you make it clear your character is totally an act and not channeling your own emotions.
Even then, better not to slip up. I haven't been unlucky enough to see (actively watching them at the time) someone change/vanish due to a slip-up tanking them, but I'd prefer not to see anyone disappear.
But yeah wholesome stories are cool, just don't have the stream be centered on that talk (unless it's very relevant to the game/topic) which kind of goes for any topic.
Like if I'm there to see what someone thinks about a game, especially if it's first time, focus on that.

Hey Wvt! I know you have said that you don’t like it when Vtubers lie about being in relationships. But what if they have full separation from themselves irl and the online character. They don’t do gfe or bfe and the choice to keep it secret is for the character and personal security reasons (wanting to keep personal and creative lives separate). Is this okay or would you still consider them having to lie about it when asked to be malicious? generally a debut will be for new viewers who want to get a better feel for your streams and content
the "about me" slide is a good start. you'll show a lot of useful information right off the back:
- height: this is pretty important for stuff like fanart, the first thing i ever do when doing group art is figure out all of the chuubas' relative heights to eachother
- birthday: any regulars will feel bad about forgetting stuff like your birthday and streaming anniversary date, so having it here is nice just in case anyone looks. something like a month's warning in advance will also work fine, but there's also a lot of stuff people do for these that are prepped months in advance
- lore: if you're "streamer but also monster girl" this part isn't really necessary, but if you have some other theme going on then put it in. monster hunter, dungeon mapper, bounty hunter, space explorer... these can give your streams specific atmospheres that can bring in specific audiences.
then you have your "likes/dislikes". you use these slides to tell your audience what media they should look at if they want to "get" you. i say "slides" plural because you'll likely need to divide the slides into media types to make them more readable. if you'd like, prioritize things that you expect to come up as recurring conversation topics during your streams.
then you have the "goals" slide. setting out future goals will give your streams a sense of progression, like saying "stick around (and shill my content too, if you'd like) if you wanna see these things happen." the goals can also be pretty endearing and help describe the persona you put on stream.
finally, "credits". model, emotes, alerts, stream backgrounds and schedule art, you reeaaaally want to thank people for working on them for you. it's generally just morally good to do, but it will also encourage others to work with you as well.

I feel like this got overshadowed in this thread by the whole thing about the new model but the ASMR mic is a pretty big deal to her. She spent a long time saving up for it and Vivi had a lot of nice things to say about her. She's trying very hard to make her ASMR as strong as possible right from the get go and has been asking for people's favorite trigger sounds. It would be immensely helpful if people could message her ideas to that effect. Any other feedback would be good too. This is a good point, considering unceasing verbiage is Mikan's specialty. She may not have meant to talk through the whole thing anyway, since the stream was about testing out the mic before she was thrown for a loop by the raid which only exacerbated things.

The way I see it, this is Nade's final chance at making a first impression to the wider vtubing community. New people like to tune in to things like debuts and model reveals, making the best impression you can upon them is an important thing I think. If she debuts the model by itself early without all the other assets then it lessens the impact her stream has on new viewers. Debuting the other assets later will also only reach her existing community.

I already think she's lessened the impact her debut could have had by partially spoiling her model reveal with the shorts she did on twitter. I really think she should have had kept the silhouette pinned, and included the debut date in the tweet as well. Maybe asked people to draw their guesses too. As things stand, there was only a week and a half between the silhouette reveal and her spoiling things in her youtube shorts.

If I remember correctly, she hinted at having some lore videos she wanted to release as a leadup to the new model debut, so I think she should continue along with that plan. If she wants to move the model debut earlier than the 9th and start using the other assets later, then that's fine. I'd just hope she's aware that the stuff released later won't have much reach beyond her existing audience. I want her to have the chance to make the biggest splash she can.
