I think most of you are jumping the gun on this. By saying "talent freedom" is simply mentioning the operating style of the agency/group. This isn't a critique on any of the corpo companies like hololive or nijisanji. In fact most restrictions on hololive or niji is mostly surrounding legal matters or general Japanese corporate behavior and they aren't a big deal. The talents still retain quite alot of freedom.

I would assume the appeal is more for an existing streamer / talent since they can bring along their already existing assets and VShojo doesn't attain ownership over it. So you can leave whenever you want. They also would handle back-of-house shit such as negotiating deals, merch, and whatever while you're free to focus on your stream content. The former is unique to VShojo and Tsunderia (I think) but the latter is done by anybody. So you get the good stuff without losing your hard earned identity.
