Considering that the minimum time for the audition video is 5min, after selecting the ones they deem most talented it should be around 2 or 3 days for a response and probably the interview is arranged within 1 week.

After that probably comes a trial period with the talents further demonstrating, and live, their skills as content creators. I believe they do lives for Staff-san where they take down their opinions and re-filter the participants... this will probably take around 1 month or so.

After that comes the part where they actually offer the Agency contract and get the Rigger and Illustrator, and probably work on the Avatar and the concept of it (I don't know if they still use pre-made models, but I vaguely remember Kiara saying that it probably wasn't the case long ago. Again, I could be wrong, so take this part with some skepticism)

Moving on, there should eventually come the rehearsals for the debut and the debut itself. In the meantime, as far as I remember, several members of the newer groups have said that they are already introduced to their colleagues to work on the synergy with them during this rehearsal period... So in my considerations, all this should take about 3 or 4 months. Which is exactly the period that has passed since the formal announcement that they were looking for male talent, probably the announcement and the debut itself should occur later this year... Maybe the announcement will take place at the Super fan meeting event that will take place this month? It would be a good time for the announcement, since it is the biggest event for a while that the Holostars boys will have

Most likely you're already a successful streamer / content creator (if you really have all those skills and talents, and you're not, there's likely something rather wrong with you), and Stars would probably only be a downgrade.
(And then it always circles back to the last thing on the list, you actually just want to get closer to the girls, and that is exactly the shit they probably want to avoid as much as possible, and the motivation of at least 90 percent of the shitters that are applying and need to have their garbage applications filtered out)

But I think game specialists would probably do a good job. Holostars and Hololive as a whole has too many variety streamers. Astel gets a pretty good audience with FPS. They could do someone who does FGs or RTS or anything else that's generally popular. In my opinion if they want to succeed they need extremely entertaining brotubers who are preferably good at FPS games or popular titles like Minecraft, or they could go boy band route and try to replicate 1D, BSB, BTS and so on. If they had a mix of those it would be a killer generation which would be able to attract two very different demographics and make a killing out of it. However, I am somewhat skeptical that Cover will pull this off due to various reasons.
Worst they could do is make them look super gay, present them as idols and have them record low quality music which would instantly flop and brand them as cringe failures till the end of time.

These are Holos, they are not the company staff. 3rd fes doesn't have Stars live, they can actually skip Stars in the expo and it will makes perfect senses, but they include Stars anyway. Making the outfit and booth for Stars is no easy feat, but the fes cameraman can't give much spotlight to Stars stuff coz large amount of audience is Holofags.
