Pod Village is a tentative name. I'm thinking about renaming it to "Pan Village" or something bread related. Also /nasa/ is currently rebuilding their network. It should be online by the time Risuners arrive. We have AR activities. We have a few RC racing events. We are re-opening cafes. Other than sex I think we have enough activities to keep Risuners occupied maybe?

MASSIVE LUNAITO LORE DUMP NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

>Luman Physiology
Lumans are standard humanoids. Under their armor, they look like regular humans. Their skin tones tend to vary a little bit, but are generally light. The main striking visual difference between a Luman and a human is their hair and eye colors. Luman hair colors range from pink to a soft blue, and shades of purple in between, while eye color is incredibly diverse, being practically any shade imaginable. Heterochromia, however, only occurs in Hime Vessels, not regular Lumans. Like most fauna native to the Himedom, the sugar content across their entire body is elevated, to the point licking a Luman will taste sweet because of their sweat.

>Sacred Words
In the ancient Nanolish dialect, "Naaa" means love. "Nanora" means 'Loving You'. Nearly all Luknights say "Nnaaaaaa" because of a belief it will increase the amount of love around them, as part of a respected cultural tradition, or just because it's fun. When a Luknight says "Nanora", it is equivalent to saying something like 'Praise Hime', the idea is that they love Luna for what she has done for them.

>Candy Kingdom Origin
Many centuries ago, a goddess on the Nijicontinent, attacked by her sister goddess, perished. Before the life left her, she gathered her followers, and with the last of her divine powers, created a ball of frozen dessert (scholars debate the exact food), and a magical cup that kept it cool. She instructed her followers to travel north, veering east or west if they had to, and after they had left the Nijilands, settle where the candy would not melt from being taken out of the cup. Knowing the importance of defending this last miracle, they formed an order of chivalry, and each swore to protect it. After a long journey, they reached what is now Nanonanora, and set the relics down, before praying to their goddess on what to do next. Luna answered their prayers with a message to feed the dessert to the most worthy young woman among them, who did so and birthed the first Hime vessel. Luna then took the cup, and used her divine magic to transform it into the crown she now wears. With her first word, "NAAAAAAAAAAAA" she spread her magic throughout the land, and encouraged a culture of battle readiness, but also sweetness and tenderness.

GUIDE TO NANONANORA

>General
Nanonanora, the capitol city of the Candy Kingdom, is the masterpiece of both Himesama and many talented engineer-naitos from ancient days. There are 4 major sections, which include: Castle Himemori, the Districts, the Quarters, and the Residences. As of 1123, Nanonanora is home to about 800k citizens, 90% of which are Luman, with the others mostly being diplomatic representatives, traveling traders, and foreign students. The simplest of the major sections is the Residential areas, where people live, with the wealth of residents generally decreasing the farther away from the main roadway to the castle. The poorest, however, live outside the walls in the sprawl, the area between the river and the gate, in a variety of small huts. Being proud Luknights, they still like to keep their sprawl presentable for when the princess comes around. On the other side of the city is numerous military encampments designed to protect the backside of Castle Himemori. The royal guard practice and train here.

>Quarters
The Quarters are reserved for artisan trades.

The arts quarter is full of museums, artistic craft studios, and stores of art supplies and art itself. Chief among the museums is the Royal Museum of Crafted Cuteness or RMCC, located in the northwest of the quarter. It is every Art-naito's dream to get pieces into here.

The foreign quarter is for non-Luman or foreign-inspired businesses. Restaurants, trinket shops, and cultural centers can be found here, like a little Nadex within the larger city.

The nightlife quarter is for bars, theaters, and other entertainment places. A long time ago, there was a rumor that Luna-hime herself would bartend at a tiny, well-hidden establishment called Club Luna. Since then, many bars calling themselves Club Luna have sprung up, dressing their bartenders up as the princess. Don't ask what the bunaitos do in this part of town.

The culinary quarter is the go-to spot for authentic Luknight cuisine, be it in a restaurant or a shop. Candy processing locations are also here, as well as the headquarters for all the culinary Luknight guilds.

Lastly, the main road is sometimes called "the Fifth Quarter", as many people set up temporary stands to sell goods there. However, it is also the main spot for Luna's frequent royal parades, so no stand gets to stand there for long.

>Districts
The Districts are for the key institutions in Nanonanora and the entire Kingdom. Buildings here often predate the city walls.

The Campus district is home to University of Nanonanora, the Royal Library of Gugulu, and the Royal Hime Culinary College. All three of these are world-renowned in Vitubia, and entry is reserved for Luknights and special diplomatic cases. Relaxing on the quads here can be one of the most peaceful experiences in the city.

The Diplomatic district is home to all of Candy Kingdom's embassies and foreign relations ministries, as well as the inns and hotels.

The Governance district contains all the offices required to execute the laws handed down by the Hime and the Council, as well as basic civil services, such as the mail, fire, and waste departments.

The Religious district contains the Great Himesama Cathedral and associated seminary school, and several Nnaaaist temples and meditation rooms. A few religious supplies stores are also sprinkled throughout here. Within the Cathedral is said to be the first scepter to which Luna gave her 'Haijime no Chu', among other religious relics.

>Castle Himemori
The jewel of the city and Kingdom, and Luna's residence. Sections A,F, and the southern two Cs are royal guard barracks, armories, and planning rooms, divided by division and specialty. A is cavalry, F is artillery, and Cs are infantry. The back two Cs are the kingdom's treasuries of both gold and sweets. The main section, D, is the meeting area of the council, containing their offices, legislative hall, and residences of both themselves, their families, and key staff. Lastly, the tower on E is Luna-hime's private residence. The roof of D acts as an audience hall, where she can address and sing for her loving Luknights.

Wow that was a lot. Also, I said the city was 800k in the last post, but that was just an estimate based on big city sizes in our world during 1123. Tech-wise, we're closer to around 1700, right? I was debating between 800k and 1.2 mil

Early in its history there were many attacks as Candy Kingdom developed itself as a power. Those dropped off over time, as Luknights can now marshal a force to stop any invaders before they reach the castle. Defenses now exist for ceremony and stopping robberies of the treasury.

Oh, and I forgot to mention this:

The sections labeled B in the castle are interior gardens. >>25514256

/nasa/ wants friendship. I know sending /uuu/ ice cream sandwiches might not seem like much. However the opportunity for /nasa/ to develop freezer technology with chuubanite is there. Which means if /nasa/ can send /uuu/ frozen ice cream bars then that means we have succeeded in creating wagon freezers. So the mission rewards itself.

That said if /uuu/ insists on helping /nasa/ would /uuu/ be interested in growing a few delicious fruits from /nasa/'s greenhouse orchard. Technically this is work because all /nasa/ has are the saplings of fruit trees. If /uuu/ wants to help grow these fruits then all /nasa/ asks for in return is a safe harvest. Same with growing berries bushes as well.

if /nasa/ can provide the seeds, we can certainly grow anything in our forests; harvesting... might be something difficult for sanalites to do within our lands
the compromise would either be
-give us your best GMO seeds, we grow them in our forest, and you get what harvest we can haul our
or
-we could potentially export our chuubanite-rich compost for you to use in your greenhouse, but we get a larger cut of the processed icecream sammies you make

/nasa/ has space suits. If we're going to harvest fruit from trees then we will use our oxygen tanks. As long as we don't breathe in pollen we'll be fine. Also we don't want saplings to dig up chuubanite because of how dangerous mining can get. Plus chuubanite is what makes your trees. It'd be wrong to take.

How about we can do a 40/60 (keep/give) split for harvesting. The only crops we want to grow in /uuu/ is fruit trees and berry bushes. Nothing that requires tilling or deforesting. Plus the fruit trees and bushes should blend into the forest nicely.

Combine that with the squirrels Charlie flirted with in /hlgg/, the /nasfaq/ Sanalite, and our friendship with /infinity/ Risuners would either visit /nasa/ or we visit them. This was the expectation.

Also hearing is on hold until we see the invaders come in peace or not. We have festivities planned for Luknights. So we can have both parties visit the same day. Also if you ask /who/ to send a carrier pigeon then they'll let us know in advance. Though it depends on how much of a threat Risuners are. So far scouts say Risu is brining a fleet of 9 ships, which is not enough to start a war.

The Republic is already big on light units and recon troops. This should integrate nicely if it is accepted as canon.

>At one point in pre-history they could have been forest
Not much has been written about /who/'s pre-history. My own headcanon is that there's is a group that have already been living in present-day /who/'s eastern highlands that already has pretty advanced metallurgy. Present-day /who/ is a mix between that group and colonists from /hlgg/. That can be the group that already has the mutation so the mutation is not brought there by the /meat/ immigrants. But really what is the consensus on how long have chuubanite existed in vitubia? iirc /jp/ is supposed to have chuubanite as well. If Vitubia already had chuubanite then it would be a lot easier to write speculative stuff like this. If the winged people are not from /jp/ then they should be able to achieve powered flight with chuubanite in their body too. If that's the case the chuubanite's characteristics can first be more avian related, then it developed more of an affinity towards the concept of civilization later as the result of organised faith around Mumei. That can explain why humans living in proto-proto /who/ have developed such traits.

I've never exactly described what pre-republic history of the area would be, I've mainly referred to the foundation of the capital, then the siege wars against schizos, and that's how the Republic forms, so the groups that reside in the area would either be schizo zones or undescribed groups that moved or got wiped by the wars.

For pre-history, we can't actually integrate /meat/ into any of it due to 2 very important factors
1. /meat/ as a general is younger than /who/, putting aside logistical factors, pre-/meat/ generals were either short to non-existent lifespans (like /sbg/ which as a fun fact was dedicate to ryona and not cannibalism)
2. We don't actually have that much crossover with /meat/, our resident cannibals formed up before /meat/ existed, and nowadays it takes place more as jokes about eating Bae and the brrats, and threats about eating brains (I'm somewhat sure that disembowel-anon is still around despite everything, no idea about berries-anon)
Basically, I believe that we don't have a good reason to try and integrate /meat/ or pre-/meat/ generals into our pre-/who/ history and we also don't have the need to do it. It's not like the gene mutation has to have a further explanation beyond "magic".

For the other question, from what I remember reading, chuubanite was created in the world the moment the crossover from /jp/ to /vt/ happened, I do not think /jp/ has chuubanite althought that may just be my memory being faulty.

Maybe one day I'll be able to write out a full document regarding pre-Republic history, when I do so, I'll try to map out what were the groups that lived in the region and if that does not work out for me, I'll have it be a zone with much schizo activity that drove out other settlers, something like that.

I did skip it in my post since I felt I had already explained why I was not going to integrate it in the lore of /who/, the main point of the post was regarding pre-/who/ history of the area, sorry if I was unable to properly explain anything.
There still isn't plans for adding brid girls since it's still a pain in the ass to add to the lore, magic is just kind of a pain in the ass in general, please do not get your hopes up.

/meat/ and /sbg/ merged pretty much as soon a /meat/ started gaining traction. while the main purpose is cannibalism, you'll notice that it is actually a catch all for all ryona, guro, and cannibalism related content. for all intents and purposes, /meat/ is /sbg/ as far as /meat/ is concerned.
>It's not like the gene mutation has to have a further explanation beyond "magic".
it's always better to have in depth explanations when it comes to world building. "magic did it" is, at best, a cop out to that gets around world building as a whole, and at worst, a generator of major continuity errors that will destroy any possibility of coherent world building of any kind. it's better to strive for the most grounded setting possible in my opinion.
>chuubanite was created in the world the moment the crossover from /jp/ to /vt/ happened
i thought it was the opposite, chuubanite came into existence as soon as chuubas came into existence. certainly, i have opposed that concept from the moment it was suggested due to how much it limited our creativity without any reason for it.

I'm neither /who/ nor /meat/, so I'm not making a comment on your decisions, I think you can go for whatever setup/history you prefer. But you mentioning ancient history made me think of a subtlety.
The countries represent the generals, but the people represent the anons. /who/ may be an older general than /meat/, but /meat/heads have existed for longer than Hoomans as a defined politico-ethnical identity. As a more recent example, /rose/ has been absorbed into /OBS/, but rosebuds still exist.
The /jp/-/vt/ split doesn't occur at the start of history, but at our Year 0, but there is history that precedes it. For example, /hlgg/ has existed for a long time; for the pre-/vt/ history, most of the people on the HoloContinent were a part of the HoloEmpire, until the /vt/ Era came and the splits begand splitting off from /hlgg/.

wait, so each individual person in a nation would be a specific anon? time and scale wouldn't allow for that. individual anons must be represented in the population in general through the culture, and since anons influence thread culture, the only way you could make the sentiment work is by doing what we have already been doing, hence my response.

>> No.25539489

>>25539324
Paragraphsanon, I think everyone else gets what I mean. The people of /who/ are Hoomans. The people of /inf/ are Kronies. The people of /rose/ are Rosebuds. Rosebuds act like Rosebuds. Kronies act like Kronies. Each individual anon in a split is not mapped onto Vitubia though /inf/ almost tried that with their namefags. Culture derives from a people, people don't derive from a culture.

>> No.25539544

>>25539324
I'd say anons generally represent remarkable individuals, leaders and influential intellectuals, as they have the ability to influence the threads. The general pop is like actual NPCs I guess. Like the schizo shamans, just a roving band of schizos wouldn't cause that much problem but if it's led by a shaman it potentially has a lot more impact. So the shamans represent actual schizos raiding and harassing threads.

>meat/ and /sbg/ merged

>it's always better to have in depth explanations
I do agree, but in the case of gene-mutation, chhubanite simply causing it wouldn't be too far off the imagination since uranium does the same thing at a deadly scale. For example, risuners would be squirrel people due to being exposed to risu chuubanite.
>i thought it was the opposite
I wouldn't know here, I'm going off my very faulty memory, so you are probably right.
>>25538929
I mean, yeah, I am aware that the so called "ryonafags" were active before /meat/ and they inherited that past, we refer to them as pre-/meat/ in this case, but I don't think using the word "Defined polico-ethnical identity" is fitting. I don't really know what word I'd use thought. Before /meat/, all of those interested in the topics would either be called /d/eviants or ryonafags. I'm probably missing something here.

Well, I guess what I really mean by that is that /meat/heads have had an Akira Mano (and others) to identify themselves as fans of (The poorly named "politico-ethnical identity") for longer than Hoomans have had a Mumei to identify themselves as fans of. And then there's forbidden dox stuff that might play into forbidden pre-histories, but can't talk about that.

not just that, the chuubanite could have more directed effects depending on how organisms evolve to the chuubanite. with that said, you'd likely need millions of years for such dramatic changes, which requires chuubanite to be present as far back as at least /jp/ times.

Other Sanallite here just throwing my two cents on the matter. First off, we would definitely be making farmland, and there would also be plenty of deforestation going on, but all of that would take place a distance off your border, so get fucked kek. But seriously, the taiga forest extending from the forests of /uuu/ into our borders will shrunk a decent bit, just cuz we need lumber. And all of that land would be repurposed as farmland, can't have the nutrients in the ground going to waste now can we?

The end goal, however, is to gain enough resources that we can mass produce greenhouses the size of which you couldn't even comprehend so we can grow all the alien plants that otherwise would just die out on Vitubia. At that point, it's to be expected for the farmland to be reforested for our future needs.
And again, all of that would be going on completely within our borders, so you can UUU all you want.We might be getting a free shipment of incendiary weapons from /risu/ soon, just sayin'

It wasn't a bad trade at first. First we would grow a few samples of trees to see how well they fare. As long as we wash the fruit before processing there's no risk of /uuu/'s pollen contaminating the fruit. And /uuu/'s climate would have been perfect for delicious fruits and nuts. That said there's still a chance that the trees could cross-polinate with /uuu/'s elder trees which would make new trees spread /uuu/'s pollen and forest. While I would love to say this venture needs more research I'm going to have to block the deal under the Grand Directive via order 106. "Starfleet shall not introduce neither flora nor fauna into the native world's ecosystem in uncontrolled cultivation."

The deal was never about what /nasa/ did in their own borders, it was about letting them plant sustainable orchards within parts of /uuu/ because plants grow faster here. No sovereignty had to be waved.
But if /nasa/ wants to be openly culturally hostile against /uuu/ and destroy the natural ecosystem within their borders, while they are perfectly within their rights to do so, saplings cannot ignore such a diplomatic slap to the face.
The original deal had been worked on for the last 3-4 days until this new sanalite came in and tried to throw it out the window

I'm the /nasa/ thread rep. My order stands here >>25580830 Outside of the other Sanalite being a cunt there is a point. We do not need to grow crops in /uuu/ if there's a risk of altering the ecosystem. As for us deforesting as much as we want to this is technically true. However the Grand Directive dictates we must minimize as much harm to the ecosystem as we can. And destroying all of the taiga at the southern border for farmland is stupid. The taiga is home to many life forms from deer to tortoises to mammoths. It also has wildberries which we found use in pastries. Plus if we alter the environment too quickly then we'll change the animals migration paths. Mossback tortoises have destroyed 40% of our crops because we altered their usual migration path. I acknowledge that dforestation is a necessary evil for /nasa/ to rebuild at this time. And I hope you will forgive us while we build to survive. However I will not allow /nasa/ to deforest more than it needs to. We've already set crop and woodland rotation plans since landing. We're sticking to those plans for now. Though they are subject to change as we discover native fauna's migration paths.

This is a bit like saying "No one would consider working with american natives when it's widely known they are God-hating, sacrifice virgins and eat hearts." When the grisly shit happens on another continent, and the raids are hard to attribute to a central authority, the people just don't see it that way, before the age of mass communication.
For someone in /ggg/ they probably see the raiders who come rape and kidnap their people, and the merchants who come sell coffee, as different people. Because effectively, they are different people within /meat/ society.
Similarly, some aztec tribes cooperated with Spanish colonizers even while others were cutting hearts out of chests.

To be fair we wouldnt bring grape agate blasters. Those are still a secret from the rest of the world. If risuners went to war the world would be fucking shocked when all of a sudden risuners have these weird looking staffs that shoot out purple fireballs. Well, I'm a big supporter of Risuners, but honestly projecting power from the West holosea to the coast of the East Holocontinent is something that even /morig/ would have trouble to do. It's just really damn far. Plus the sapling's homefront advantage, local population advantage, the forests psycho/toxicological effects... It would be a very uphill battle.
You could be a big pain in their butt, on the coasts though.
I'd still love to see it though, shit would be fun and a great narrative.

Forests are less flammable than one might think. Forest fires occur naturally, and are actually desirable. Huge forest fires seen IRL are usually caused because anti-fire measures prevent those smaller "clearing" fires and because of desertification due to water usage and climate change.

All this political tension is making me wonder how an actual world wide war would occur. As a Lunaito, the cold war with the Matsurisu goes hot and Matsuri is declared a public enemy of the Candy Kingdom. We invade most likely win and assuming Matsuri and FBK are still on good terms, they declare war on the Candy Kingdom. Though how much they can help out is doubtful, RBC, Shishiron, (I cant find Subaru on the map), and Choco are assumed to side with Luknights and Shishiron is right next door to FBK and if they supply or aid the Matsurisu an attack would probably be ordered which would probably cause Stars to attack as well.

Report on Deadbeat LABEE, Entry #3

"Nanonanora ahead, Naaaaaaaa!," the Luknight captain of the royal riverboat announced, as the many modest Luknight homes appeared on the riverbank. Some of the Luknight stopped to look at the Deadbeats and Luknights on the boat, naaa-ing at the nontypical sight.

Soon enough, the familiar river docks and tall stone walls of Nanonanora appeared on the horizon, with only a small amount of the tall buildings peaking over, a first for many of our Deadbeat guests, but comfortably familiar to me. Kenichi asked me how such walls could be built so high and last so long. I had no answer for him, other than the grace of our Hime and the skills of our knights of architecture and engineering. It felt slightly embarassing to be left wanting of knowledge, nanora.

It was a bittersweet farewell to the riverboat. Citrora and Shige had their forces load their supplies onto the carriages set aside for our convoy to the north. A few Luknights of trade would be joining us as we traveled, but for now, our progress would need to wait, as the capitol is preparing for the Festival of the Sheep, a celebration of the birthday of one our Hime's sister goddesses. Hard labor will be hard to come by today and tomorrow (thankfully this is not the Festival of the Dragon, or it might be the whole week), but I imagine the Deadbeats are happy to explore the city, and it will give me time to check in with the wishes of the Luknight Council, and any news from /morig/ that might've be lost to us on our trip. Himesama will also address the city during the Festival, something all of us look forward to.

After an inspect of our armor and opals, they let us and the Deadbeats inside, the market stands lining the street, trying to sell cotton candy and wool armor liners before the Festival parade makes them move their stands to the sides. Cinnama informed the Deadbeats their dark chocolate would be ready tomorrow morning for them in a tasting gallery with a view of Luna's inner sanctum, talking about how Luknight chocolate is made with the candifying powers of Luna Chuubanite, and is distilled to create darker and darker chocolate. They were a bit bothered they would have to wait, but as Cinnama said, "Have it any later than 10 am and you won't sleep that night, nanora." Unfortunately, I can personally attest to this.

Puffison wished to return to his office in the University, to collect more detailed notes on arctic schizos, and recent developments after the fall of the butterfly goddess. I understand this can be a sensitive subject amongst Deadbeats, as this goddess was part of one the 'Divine Trifectas' with theirs, so I have asked him to do this covertly, though with those Agents I can never be sure I am not unheard.

For the moment, I shall accompany any Deadbeat who asks, in interest of our nations' relationship. Himesama, look upon me, both in your physical form and divine, and guide me to the noble path of Luchivalry, nanora.

Loyalty to Luna,
Lady Noravera Jaggery

As the official thread rep I will clarify what has happened. Now when /nasa/ apologizes we always give baked goods as a token of apology. While I cannot speak for the Sanalite who offended you, I can speak as /nasa/'s representative and for myself we mean no harm. As for the wagon that was sent to your border. /nasa/ asks if we can have permission to retrieve the wagon so we can re-use the freezers to fill with more frozen treats. Also freezers can cause pollution if they get broken which will make your forest sick. Also we will want to retrieve the seeds if possible so that they will not spread uncontrollably through your forest.

As for how /nasa/ will handle diplomatic relationships with /uuu/ in the future. We will start with a format being a formal proposal that outlines what we want and what we can do for you. Only a /nasa/ diplomat or a thread rep will talk official business to /uuu/ from now on. The proposal I linked earlier is for /nasa/ to give /uuu/ a gift as a token of apology. When the rep of /nasa/ speaks its on behalf of the nation. We ask that you understand the words of one Sanalite doesn't reflect all of us.

Also feel free to talk to Sanalites as individuals. But know that from now on all important business will be formal proposals labled as such. Don't mean to be stuffy and formal here. I am tired.

This thread was a little funky.

I like a bit of funk. It's soulful, like kids bickering in the backyard.

Haven't have to write lately, but here's a short chapter done: https://rentry.org/k2qfq#the-gemstones
I would try to write about the accommodations as well as other things the other risuners see, but here's something that you can check out while I work on those

Is the shop owner an /fbk/ expat, or am I about to learn about a foxy /meat/uber?

If only we have a foxy /meat/tuber... but alas, she was how she was because I want to introduce more variety for my cast in terms of appearance. This one just happens to have a minority of /meat/heads in the respective thread canon, plus she touched on the topic once or twice. Not a lot, I know, but that's once or twice more than most corpro vtubers.
Her gig having a lot of rosestones might be a hint, but then again most of my characters use them even if they're completely unrelated so that's that

Ah, the multiple tails should have tipped me off. This make me wish I was in that Risuner's place a bit more to be honest.
I feel like there's definitely a niche for a canine /meat/uber who devours her fanbase I mean other than Korone.

In terms of horniness it's meant to be ambiguous enough to go either way, although a good night together is definitely enough to give Diana as many gemstones as she can carry... I guess it's a pretty funny contrast to the 3 council states to the west in regards to acceptance of compensated nut exchange

Kek, now that's a prompt list item. /morig/ would be on the nut exchange = A-ok side of the debate.
