SC is barely a blip in the top talent's normal sub and ad review, it's why many of the girls barely pay any attention to it. Yes, it's a big deal for a small channel with low view counts, but when you're getting 200k views in <1 hour on every single video/stream you do in a month, your YouTube ad revenue is likely well over 6 figures for the month. For example, I think the estimate from people in the know was that Gura likely hits well over 200k per month in just Youtube ad revenue. the estimate on the number of paying subs she has is something in the range of 20-40k, most of whom going by the chat are paying the 10/mo package, so thats another 100-300k per month in just membership fees. this stupid shark is likely pulling down something between 300k-500k per month in ad and membership fees, which I know clover takes a part of; why should she care about 50k in superchat last month?

and this is not just gura. I'm sure Mori made more in youtube ad revenue last month then gura did thanks to the EP release.

If you think i'm kidding on these numbers, consider this. Gura had a collab stream with a duet, singing a cover. that video went over 1mil views in just a day, and she barely noticed it. a 1mil view video would make a normal youtuber piss themselves, quit their job and start youtubing for the rest of their life, the ad revenue from something like that could easily pay for a car, yet gura barely noticed it, didn't even know it went over 1mil views.

the math for youtube ad revenue goes something like this...

currently for gura and most hololive girls every 100k views == $2500 (near enough, understand youtube ad revenue changes based on clicks, AND the rate they sell the ads for, AND how many ads you run in a video)

adding up gura's view count for the past 30 days ==8.34mil == 83.4*2500= $208K

her membership subs are even easier to figure out, the live views on her membership streams tell the tale (I know VOD numbers are unrelaible, but we can make some guesses), in any membership stream she's typically pulling in anywhere from 8k-16k members. the fact she can hit 16k on members alone tells you her membership numbers are likely much higher then that, so a range of 20-40k member is not a particularly agressive estimate.

the lowest membership is $5/mo if you assume all the members are 5 dollar members and assume she only has 20k, she's still pulling in 100k per month on memberships alone.
