Probably overestimate the target market and time frame to success. They tried so much to push vtubers into mainstream by promoting it to be on par with Miku/Vocaloid or idol business. To be fair though 2019 is very critical moment since at that time Nijisanji and Hololive already known by many with basically idol-like business model but I think it was too early to push vtuber into mainstream. They should wait for couple months or years before realizing this or by pushing it slowly with TV debut and such.
