Sorry if I'm reviving a discussion that has already been buried, but I think that dividends are worth talking about.

Dividends are long-due for an overhaul, that is for sure. In the past, I've advocated for removing the dividends pool and setting dividend volatility much higher, so singular events (such as Holofes, Birthdays, Song releases) as well as consistently high views (NNN; you list it as an example of being disappointing, but I remember that Risu's price skyrocketed for the entire month. It's her dividends that were unimpressive since dividends at that point were unimpressive in general) create much higher spikes, big enough to invest in those coins with that single event in mind just for dividends rather than looking to sell. I've also suggested a mirroring of real-life dividends where they just convert coin worth into liquid while dropping the coin's value, which would counteract the inflation and inject liquid into the market, while making them much milder as a source of income. The latter suggestion would require massive rework of the whole game though, so it was just an idea.
Before I can properly respond to what you are proposing, I want to outline what I see as problems with dividends as they are right now and what I see as their purpose; you can disagree with either, this is just how I see it. Point out that you don't think that's a problem/that's their goal, though, otherwise the discussion will be permanently bogged down addressing moot points.

Problems:
1.) The income from them is similar. There genuinely isn't that big of a difference between players when it comes to dividends against net worth higher up the leaderboard - check the Dividends Report (data is slightly distorted by Rushia making up large chunks of some players' wallets). I am specifically mentioning players that are in the Top 50-Top 100 since the bigger the net worth, the more one has to rely on dividends by game design.
2.) The dividends themselves are consistent over time, even through extreme events. They are easy to predict since everyone takes a slice from one pie, and view/subs variations don't matter as much as one would think. This is largely due to some "baseline" views from older streams/music videos. This might not be a problem in and of itself, but a secondary issue with this is that the dividends are close to "solved" in terms of their amount, even if not precisely when it comes to the long-term strategy.
3.) They are the /only/ viable money sink in the game. Liquid is essentially useless in terms of making profit, meaning that at some point when you reach a point you can no longer profit even more through trading, you have to commit to having stacks. Those stacks are not easily liquidated or moved from one coin to another, which means you need to make them for the long term, which in turn means that doing "reps" isn't as important, unless you want to take into account the whole profile of the streamer (someone who goes on hiatuses often will likely yield less over the long-term and so on).

Goals of dividends:
1.) Provide players with a stable trickle of liquid. The way I see it, the game wants you to primarily invest (in the long-term), either in vtubers you think have good future prospects (that is not what dividends do, but I think that would be a goal of them) and are undervalued or for oshicoiners to be able to grow their stacks.
2.) Provide /a/ money sink. With the multicoin being both taxed and limited to 10x, you would need to constantly sell your positions to re-invest the money elsewhere, at which point you would encounter a wall. Dividends basically /are/ the endgame out of necessity right now, ties in with problem #3.
3.) Provide an alternate play style. This is how it used to be, I think. There were people who focused more on the long term dividends-oriented play and there were those who relied on trading without thinking much about wallet composition, or those who invested into dividends for the short-term (in the good old taxless 30% dividend days, when it was worth chasing them). This makes the game more complex and generally more fun, since you have more venues of profit to explore.

Your proposal would slightly alleviate problem #2 and slightly deepen problem #1, while fulfilling goal #1, I think. For problem #2, it would make profits of some (currently) lower-dividend coins much higher so their oshicoiners have higher incomes, make hiatuses more felt dividends-wise, and promote channels doing short content (see: Pekora right now). The slight deepening of problem #1 would come I think from lower possible variation in uploaded videos per week compared to views. If Ayamy streamed four times and Towa seven times, then that component would provide a much more equal income across the board, especially with dividend pools (I don't think someone will stream 30 times in a week to produce a dividends spike), and it will also decrease the impact of views and subs on dividends.

An interesting thing to think about without abolishing the dividend pools (which I think they should) is for that consecutive stream streak/number of streams to apply outside of the dividend pools, basically slapped on top as a bonus (or a "baseline"). Combined with relatively low prices this would make a lot of steady-but-low-view coins much more viable.
Either way, I think it's nice as a metric, but it comes with some caveats and I doubt it does enough on its own, it would be much more effective if it was paired with a major overhaul of dividends in general.
I wish there was an alternative money sink and play style, such as say, financial instruments.

There isn't a specific post I want to tag for this complaint that I want to get off my chest, but there should be capped dividends. If the game consistently had increasing dividends or no way of overall controlling them, they are functionally the controlling method of players having liquid, vastly more so than any adjustment cap, so they should and have to be capped, as for what this cap is? That's a topic of it's own, but I don't think it's as big of a worry as making dividends more volatile as the predictability of them makes them a lot less interesting, it's why people were so desperate on trying to find the best deals back then, because it was more wild due to the metric of it using market mean making them inherently more volatile, so it's something that should be considered, more so than removing the cap or adjusting it first.

Largely agree with this post, I think it's at least a newer metric that can accurately reflect channels as they are and better reward constant performers that may not be accurately reflected as a result of how dividends are produced.
However, it's always worth noting that this change won't revamp or completely shake up the entire game, unless the power of this metric is very strong, but I think it's a nice change overall, even if it doesn't fix the game, which it was never trying to do. And also forces you to change your strategies/metacoins ever so slightly, which is nicer from the staleness it has been.

I'll reemphasize one point you made throughout these posts of financial instruments being needed, but I'll also just highlight how that there is not a solid idea of how these should be implemented. I've long thought on them, and the only thing I can think of is essentially "betting" on whether a coin will go down or up days in advance, at least forcing you to pay attention to schedules or when big streams will happen, but when it's birthdays or anniversaries, it's essentially mandatory and depends largely on how the share-player interaction is, being player to player, or player-broker, as if it's player-broker, it turns into just free money essentially.

I've suggested multiple changes to music channels, including having their views average out over two days so their rapid swings are flattened, since they were the source of lowered prices (comparing lower-view music channels like Sora to Mori/Suisei you can see that for some reason [due to the adjustment mechanic likely] high day to day swings of almost no views into double day views kept their prices low).
I want them to be fixed and to behave like normal coins. The "gamechange" I jokingly asked for that'd make Cypher go away was just fixing the coin.
Believe me, Mori being busted for so long really saps away from an oshicoiner's enjoyment of the game. Look at me or Applause, it's just so tiresome in the end.

I already am. Without CSS edits and adblocking the extra buttons, you hit 50% before it goes back to being one line on anything sub 1080p. At 1080p and above I think it switches back over to one line at 75%, and that's only after editing the width of the trader controls and still needing to remove the buttons.
