If they were regular twitch streamers i would agree, but they are not, they are in Hololive.
Ina got mad at chat on a drawing stream recently and decided she wasnt going to talk for the rest of the stream.
She didnt even drop any viewers.
Being in hololive requires exactly as much effort as you want it to, it is a zero stress environment especially for EN, atleaest JPs have a lot of Idol reps to do.

The REAL reason that this job is so hard for these women (other than the fact that they are women) is that these bitches have ZERO time management, planning and scheduling skills.
They have basically infinite free time and money but because of it they become complacent and lazy in how they live their lives.
People with a 9-5 job know the value of free time and have to make the most of it, the world forces normal people to develop some sense of discipline.
Most vtubers are young women who have never held real jobs for more than a few years so they dont develop this.
They go to sleep and wake up whenever they want, when they are hungry they order whatever off uber eats, they dont shower if they dont need to leave the house etc etc.
While it sounds amazing, living like this fucks up your ability to manage your life in the long run, you need structure and discipline to make the most of your time and money.

When the girls take a break, what theyre trying to do is get their sleep schedule back on track, try to eat healthy again etc. But they'll always fail.
So yes they do "need" a break, but only because the job is so EASY that it turns you into a lazy slob

I'm not saying that your job, or most people's jobs for that matter, are easier than what f.e. Holos do. I also don't think it's fair or logical that soccer players are the athletes with the highest salary in many countries, and have the most viewers. But the facts of the matter are that things which not many people do are paid very much, manual labor doesn't have the social prestige as being a self-reliant artist, and you can't resolve any of this with just facts and logic.
Not that I am in the position to comment on this. I earn 1.5 times my expenses, I am paid to do 20 hours a week but am closer to 60 hour workdays, the idea of earning even more than I already get for the little I feel I actually accomplish terrifies me, I have 2-3 weeks of vacation which I didn't take (and I honestly don't even know how many I have). And on top of that I am doing fuckall to fix my sleep schedule, and tend to go to work a hour later than I am meaning to, sometimes sleeping 3-4 hours several times a night in a row, with it getting even worse on weekends. I did the same when I had a job that actually required me to turn up at 7:00 AM or so, except then I sometimes slept 2 hours.

You have to think about the logic of why more money would give you more problems. The richest person in the world at any one time does not have the most problems.
