I wouldn't say he's lucky. He slots right into a niche no one in Stars occupy with his specialized drawing streams, funny & grateful personality, and easy-to-tune-in time slots in the morning. Those plus his stories navigating his life and failures probably activate the "I can save him" instinct in females. Great move by him (and the management for choosing him).
His subs aren't going to surpass anyone in Uproar beside Uyu though (he's fine in his own way and his chat isn't as bad as what threadreaders say). I can't see him beating Fuma, and now that Rio is actually more of a Robesan with his outreach but sings he's probably clear.

There is some, but due to how Cover botched up Holostars marketing, a lot of Hololive fans see them as the broom closet stepchild. That and Hololive has an extremely high amount of unicorn and unicorn farmers, so that kind of environment actively breeds antis for the Holostars.

Cover doesn't even have any faith in them going by Holofes and main branch talents pretty much ignored Uproar for ID3.

So yeah, instead of trying to get a hostile audience to like you, they're better off trying to farm their own audience. It just sucks that Cover fucked up that bad. I don't know what kind of hopium you're huffing but you should never expect the Stars on Holofes because that will always be Hololive only. It's the whole idol shtick, you won't have the male branch performing with the female one on their big show. Holofes this year had 38 members performing, and that's more than 4 times the number of Stars during 1st Act, so there was a pretty good reason for it being 2 days long. Adding another 2+ hours performance on the same day on the same concert hall would be a logistics nightmare, and that's why they had it on completely different days.
