Stats on the vacation shorts, am dolphin (145K) is only beating Reining Men by 20k despite a 2 day head start. If the premier hadn't fucked up the shorts status it'd like be doing even better. In the Heroes menu, select Laplus, then go to orbs. She takes shit like the "Dragoon Orb" which prompts you to gather a bunch of mats, some of which is in random chapters of the story.
The other holos had orbs that were either in the materials Connect Battle boxes or that I got somewhere else. Maybe I fucked up somewhere and missed something. Peko, Kiara, and Ina are upgraded to the point that the Orbs screen gives "Unreleased Orb" for all their options.
I'm pretty sure I need this to take Laplus to Yellow and Red states and then get the cheer points for it.

There is also collab missions that give 4 scrolls that put any character instantly on purple.
You shouldn't need to farm the story to upgrade them.

My biggest beef with the game is that it's crashy as fuck. The only reason it's even playable on my phone is because I found the low graphics setting in the Options. Even with that, it still crashes whenever I sit on the summon screen too long, or try to use the in-game chat function and during random battles if too many effects are running at once.
It's funny too, it will crash just navigating menus too.

The <Materials> connect battle for the collab should give you Purple Orb Shard Boxes. You open those by going to the "Item" menu, from "Options". From those boxes you should get everything you need for the Orbs.
