The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

CCV over time matters more than a few numbers you've anecdotally seem. One great example of that (albeit a much larger scale) is Hanbyeol and people here assuming he's some 3k andy despite his numbers only being inflated due to being on the front page and trying to use THAT information to shit on people here as well. While he's a much different case and does have a few hundred viewers it just highlights how much better CCV over a month or at least a few weeks is a more accurate representation of someone's numbers than just "I saw him he had 15 viewers that one time".

To be fair, I was ignoring chat in favor of the collab itself. I definitely learned a few things for next time! At the very least it'll be more beneficial to be clear that it's just a POV stream if I'm not focusing on chat.
I'm impressed Ain managed to do both! She's fantastic. If I feel comfortable doing so in the future I'll have to remember to set up push to talk. As of now it was taking all of my energy just to fight back my social anxiety! If there's one thing I'm bad with it's directly interacting with people in voice chat. I'm still pretty proud that we pulled it off, and I really think we managed to hit a stride during that last run. We leveled up for next time for sure!

No, even if we're not talking straight nepotism-ing your way to the top, no one makes it without a social support network. That's why most successful chuubas you see are people who work in groups and often came up together. A great example is Coqui, Meat, Krimbo, Rummy, that whole gang. You need to find likeminded people who are interested in creating content and actually want to grow but who you also happen to get along with.
