last thread had 41 posters, as do most threads if i'm not mistaken. for quite a while, /meat/ threads have reached bump limit consecutively. most /meat/heads are sea and euros as is reflected by the general interest in guro and ryona. discord isn't any less likely to ban us, and as you said, it would kill activity here. if we die here, we would be better off going to gurochan than discord.

Japan creates an immense amount of content. Plenty of doujins you see online are made by one person who only prints like 150 copies. Digital copies are now available for many, but there are plenty of them that are still physical only. The internet only contains the tip of the content iceberg. I don't take it for granted at all as a true ryona/guro/scat fan. Only a tiny fraction of those ever get scanned and uploaded to sadpanda and even fewer ever get translated. I've spent many nights depressingly scrolling through the female:amputee tag and being disappointed that almost all the uploads are just Pixiv rips.
At one point I seriously considered traveling to Japan just to be able to physically buy all those books and JAVs but then comes the issue of foreigners often not being allowed in those parts of certain stores as they're afraid gaijins will judge them.

As long as you speak and act okay Japanese, they should be fine. From my time in Japan, I was never refused from buying stuff at stores, including adult ones. The only place that refused me was soapland. If you walk in confidently and seem actually interested, they won't care.
