I think you're confusing hate with dislike. Most vtuber fans are straight males who crave for female attention or simply enjoy female streamers who have cute/sexy anime avatars. Are there female fans? Yes, but those are concentrated and contained in NijiEN and few other big vtubers.
Vox is not what you could consider a proper male streamer/vtuber like Kuzuha (JP brotuber) because at least 80% of his content/interactions with chat are aimed at women (or gays). People who dislike GFE probably dislikes BFE as well but the main reason why Vox receives "hate" is because his fans keep posting about him in places where he has almost no fans. This is the equivalent of promoting gay porn to straight men and then wondering why don't they like it and throw shit at you.
Finally, there may be some niji fans who hate niji males because they keep collabing with their oshi but those people are delusional simply because they refuse to acknowledge that their oshi chooses to collab with males and if anything they should be mad at her for "betraying" them.
