After getting to know a vtuber, I learn from the experience and improve, but as I change and improve the vtuber stagnates or degrades with time.
The result is that a vtuber which once shined, later looks sad and depressed.

Life is too short to waste it on people who don't desire to change and improve.
If a social contact becomes negative for your life, they chose to ignore your advice, and refuse to change, then it's time to cut off this connection and look for a healthier person.

The moment I learned of Coco retiring and Watame stopping her Watame no Uta was the moment I gave up on her.
She is kind because she desires acceptance as a replacement for the love she didn't get from her parents.

This will eventually drive you mad as no one can keep up with her insane streaming time and mental health issues.

The solution is quite simple for Watame.
She needs to imagine her traumatic past and imagine she was the big sister in that situation where her little sister got rejected by her father.
If she can imagine what she would do to protect her little sister in that situation she would almost instantly cure her past traumatic experience and become a lot more healthier and happier.

Unfortunately you can't force someone to change even if it's to cure them.
The result is that after a fan improves he won't be able to support Watame's behavior and refusal to change and will leave her.

Those who remain and refuse to change will have the same bad ending in their life.

For me it’s IRyS. I got somewhat interested in vtubers back when HoloEn was announced but none of the Myth girls appealed to me. They all seemed too normal to me.
I only got interested again a couple of months ago after getting recommended her random gaming stream and IRyS was the definition of my type.
Something about how gentle she is really got to me.
Also her voice is ridiculously good. Might be the first time I’ve actually enjoyed hearing a woman sing.

I was there the very day Kizuna AI debuted.
I've been watching vtubers since then. I watch them from everywhere: corpos, indies, doesn't matter. I've been doing this from the very beginning, and not once at any point in time have I ever had an oshi. I've never felt the need to watch a stream just because of who is streaming. I've never once joined a membership or bought goods.

I have no idea what it would take to make this jump but it just hasn't happened yet. Maybe if my favorite artist finally became a vtuber mama.
