When they don't get same promotion or same marketing as other branch. HoloID never got hyped trailer like their JP or EN counterpart and exNijiID and KR never got same promotion or original song like some JP and all EN when they debuted their new wave.

Thankfully Cover redeem themselves by getting HoloID their deserved spot in Holofes and participation in conventions, i am still salty they didn't include them in HoloAlt promotion tho, hope it will change in the future.

They rarely play games I like. If there's one thing that'll get me to watch your stream, it's playing a game I like. I'm not into any of the mainstream online multiplayer games, so none of those appeal to me, and most of the FOTM games don't do it for me either. I wanna see a chuuba play Noita, or Shantae, or Shadow of the Colossus. Nintendo and Sonic stuff is always great, too. I subbed to Selen just for her SADX playthrough, but honestly, as entertaining as she is, I'm probably going to unsub just because she hasn't played anything I want to watch, other than that.

There is a strong lack of diversity in the content produced. It always boils down to the same 5-10 games played in the end I thought having so many talents was to make each one feel unique, but after a while they just blend together.

Unironically I feel like vtubing mostly is about finding the right flavor for the same type of content. To be fair I can't tell whether it's been different back in the early days since I only got into it in 2020, but looking at the current corp talent line-up, most of them don't stand out much. Doesn't mean they're bad at what they're doing and obviously there are *some* differences in what they're focusing on. But at the end of the day it, these difference feel just feel so minor on a greater scale and every announcement of a new wave becomes just another iteration of what's already been there.
