I really don't think the rank system is that bad this season. People just need to get used to it, the old rank system you could abuse by just grinding, as long as you grinded you could almost always consistently gain points over time, which is why the rank divisions were so fucked. The new system seems to fix that so you actually have to consistently perform well rather than just grinding forever. In the new system no matter how much you grind there will be a skill level where you plateau.

Noah is similar to Astel as they are shit at close range but good at long-mid. Its why Astel gets meme as a damage farmer in tournaments, high damage but low kill and placement.

That's not what I meant you retards. No one said that shotgun isn't important. But a weaker shotgun player can still win if they win hard during the poke phase. Teams don't get into shotgun range unless one team absolutely dominates the mid-long range fight. If your opponent starts with lower health then you don't have to land as many shotgun shots.
And even better shotgun players wouldn't just mindlessly push into the other team if there are third parties around.

Is there anywhere that has the specifics on how RP is actually calculated this season? All the charts I see don't actually translate to the points given in game. The official EA site says "There isn’t a cap on how many kills earn you RP, but after each kill you earn increasingly less." but doesn't specify what that actually means. He should have gotten like 600+ RP just from the kills themselves, so obviously whatever falloff that have on the RP from kills is pretty heavy.
