How does Marine's single-shot muzzleloader fire consecutive rounds without reloading, and do so without producing incredible quantities of smoke? Also, how has she managed to produce purple tracer rounds when she's utilising 1800s era firearm technology?
Even worse, still frames from the MV show that it's intended to be some sort of flintlock, and yet she fires it with the frizzen open. Her sweeping motions would toss any priming powder in the pan all over the place, and even if she did fire, keep the powder in the pan, and dry, the flint won't make contact with an open frizzen, so it won't ignite.
She needs to go to a range some time. Dumb fuck shouldn't call herself a pirate when she can't even do the bare minimum to learn how period-appropriate equipment is used.

This is probably the sad truth in most circumstances, but you can't deny it's the nail in the coffin. Bustle and discussion occurring around something makes it pretty definitive and standalone, unless the original prompt giver is autistically screeching or something, but that'd probably hurt their chances even more

Write something, anything. Put it away for a few days or a week. Then look at it again and find what you don't like about it now and rewrite it.
While reading something, find places in the text or prose you really like and dissect why you like how the author or poet composed it. Then try to apply that to your own.

Everyone can write, especially if you're not going for any sort of brownie points or high praise by literary experts. You don't need to use fancy words or speak in anecdotes to write an interesting piece of fanfiction, so I'll echo the advice to simply sit down and write.

The place where you want to focus however is to make sure you at least follow some basic grammar and formatting techniques so your story is legible. Pick an author whose stories you think flow well, analyze what you think they did right and try to follow the same general format. Don't simply go into a stream of consciousness where YOU know who's doing what, or saying what at a specific point, while leaving the reader completely clueless because they can't know what was in your mind at the time.

Outside of that, it really is a question of practicing, more doing and less thinking about doing.

I wish the whole copying stories was a meme but it's legit how most classics are done, someone 200 years ago decided to do his own version of another story from 500 years ago. And now in the present we do movie adaptations of said stories.

Nah. Being lazy with reworking other peoples' work is what gets you "Romeo and Juliette... BUT NOW WITH ZOMBIES AND TIME-TRAVELLING!". Putting your own spin on a concept is surprisingly difficult.
Everyone knows about how AI is bad and will destroy humanity, but what about writing it from the perspective of a scientist who thinks of it as his own pet (or even a child) and doesn't want it to be turned off (put down), consequences be damned? Also, I think it's fair game to rewrite old stories. Many of the fairy tales, legends and myths were focused on the overall message, not on individual characters. "Fate is cruel and inescapable" in Oedipus Rex, "Hubris will fucking kill you regardless of status" in like the other half of the Ancient Greek mythology
The contemporary literature puts more focus on the characters and the worldbuilding, so rewriting old stories with the new paradigm is gonna transform it enough to be considered "plenty original" by many.

My point wasn't even about straight up copying someone's style or the contents of their stories (but you knew that), but instead to pay attention to how an author formats their stories to make them legible, as opposed to getting into writing with zero clue over how to properly write dialogue, how to divide paragraphs, etc.

Sure, if you're a lover of modern art and think shit on a canvas is a fantastic representation of the struggles of the modern southeast asian pigmy cucumber farmer then a story with no punctuation and in all caps might be up your alley, since being original is the only thing you care about.

While it's true that modern fiction puts a greater emphasis on world building, I disagree that the classics weren't focused on characters. From Heracles to Achilles and from Antigone to Oedipus all of these characters had different motivations which various authors use to communicate different themes. Not only that the characters have their own personalities. Achilles, for example, becomes so distraught after the death of Patroclus that his rage defies the wills of the gods themselves. Then there's someone like Aeneas whose love of Dido is a major plot point and is an amazing turning point for his character.

TL;DR: I think you got morals and themes confused for the same thing. Here's a chuuba for your troubles.

However it may not exactly be related because recently, Pikamee hasn't done anything noteworthy, Kagura Mea faded into obscurity and became a shitty person, Tamaki got married and also faded into obscurity, and most importantly, Hololive got way too scripted. The flat jokes, the horny, the forced relationships. It got to a point where I couldn't watch without skipping the jokes, and if the jokes weren't funny what was I there for? After Coco was gone, I completely abandoned Hololive and Vtubing as a whole, not because I loved her content or anything, in fact everything she did post 2020 was shit, but Hololive became too stiff, too corporate. When rivalry between companies was friendly and resulted in fantastic collabs, and when everything genuinely felt like a bunch of workers-turned-friends who don't really know what they're doing but are having fun figuring it out.
Biggest turn off for me was EN's arrival; not because "muh japanese purity, western whores!!!" but because without the filter of a foreign language, the fanbase EN attracted to the industry is horrible, and now I share this hobby with a bunch of people who probably unironically thought "the cake is a lie" was a great joke that everyone should hear.

I mean it's a step in the right direction even if I feel like it's a missed opportunity to just dodge the setup from last chapter with the reboot. The added details do work and don't break flow as much as your previous attempt at slowing down like with the AC crossover fic but it's kind of lacking in the emotional component with the feelings present being rather stunted. I think if there's one thing that needs working on is 'coloring' the narration with emotion since right now every event has the same 'feel' without emotions helping to 'color' the events that are happening.
Though I will commend that the added details do at least give a better idea of what's happening.

Chaining more than two or three clauses/phrases together in one line breaks the flow quite a bit. I think my own example is severely pushing it, in fact.
