The best system is to stream on Twitch but still make content on YouTube and uploading your VODs to a separate YouTube channel. This way you can get the most out of a streaming platform, while also getting discoverability via the YouTube algorithm, without gimping your spot in the YouTube algorithm because the VOD upload spam will be contained on a separate channel. If you aren't willing to manage two YouTube channels and stream on Twitch for maximum growth potential then you don't deserve to make it.

They can happen mid stream if the streamer enables that, and even preroll ads are annoying as fuck if you're refreshing or trying to jump channels.
Youtube's ads are literally not an issue at all because I can block them extremely easily, both on PC and mobile.
