Checking the top viewercounts for KR vtuber tag. Lilpa losing her number as she's done with Poppy Playtime, will probably drop back down to a stable 20k or so. On the other hand Jingburger (who is from Isegye too) is inclining, might be Lilpa viewers moving over. Cherrypach holding steady and actually increased from ~1k to ~3k right now. I've been keeping tabs on the KR market for at least a year now. Consolidation is starting to happen to the mid-tier vtubers (like pic-related), who was picked up by the MCN Parable.

The numbers your seeing right now are actually quite stunted because it's exam/study season for college/school students. If summer comes around those numbers will be added for sure.

Additionally most small corpos are already reaching the 100 viewcount threshold for most streams.

Over the next few months, I predict a lot of mid-range streamers (500~700 views) to be pushed into the 1k range, and the 100 view streamers to be pushed into the ~200 range, and that's a conservative estimate.

Overall the market is getting more and more crowded, and competitive in KR. What I think will make a difference is when KR chuubas start having their own clips take off, as that hasn't happened yet with a lot of local chuubas, but that might be the ticket for a lot of mid-range chuubas to be pushed into the 1k+ range.

From a corporate perspective, that's actually the worst thing they can do. A bit of a history lesson. When Gen 2 started, Hololive was basically an afterthought. The big jp agencies at the time where Upd8, .Live, Gamebu, and a very young Nijisanji led by Mito who was starting to stake their claim at the top. Gen 2's top star at the start wasn't even Aqua, it was ChocoSen who used to collab frequently with Nijisanji to the point that most people considered her as an honorary niji. So what was so bad about that? Nothing, except for the fact that they kept and even expanded their collaborations with Hololive. Subaru, Miko, etc. started collabing with them more and more which helped legitimize the brand in its early days. And then afterwards, Aqua became the "Nijikiller", Gen 3 became a thing, Asacoco happened, and then COVID. Don't get me wrong, Hololive probably still explodes outside of JP due to the chinks and the EOPs but they would have had a harder time establishing a foot hold in the local scene if it weren't for those early collabs with Nijisanji that helped legitimize the brand to the nips. Going back to my initial point, trying to collab with and even outright acknowledging Isegye might have a reverse effect of funneling audiences towards a group outside of the box.

Hololive becoming more and more mainstream and acknowledged since they have a very clean brand image. All I'm waiting for is EN 3 and their projects to take off.

Also, after seeing Niji's concert today, I realized that they don't really have that kind of people who would hype or do crazy shit. Every other stars members are boring and Roberu Astel stands out from the crowd. I don't hope for them to get collabs from Hololive, but for starsEN, I fucking hope they get a hypeman. People who only focuses on StarsEN first, don't get a fucking bilingual for the branch. Get that for StarsEN 2. Just get a guy with a lot of connections in the streamer community to do collabs, a guy who could play instruments and a general gamer.
