Really though if you like her and want her to be successful I feel like you'd be open to the idea that this eyesore model is going to turn way more people off than it'll attract them. You don't have to be unappealing to buck trends. The artist behind them looks like they're just making vtuber designs, so I don't even think that's the intent, it's just a miss.

Her nose needs to be removed or more defined because it just looks like two floating holes more than anything.
Her jawline is also a bit too pointed for how large the rest of her head is. It could be just a little rounded out, or made wider.
The eyeshadow makes her eyes look sunken in. With the colors here it comes off as sickly.
Mouth is small and stiff but that's probably just a vtuber studio webcam tracking thing so it's a non-issue to me.
I don't have any problems with the theme, and like how she isn't covered in distracting sparkling shit, but I don't think it's very nice to look at. This artist isn't even really making an attempt to distance their work from the generic anime vtuber style you don't like, so I think you might just be confusing the scuff here with an attempt to be more unique. That's fine tho, people like scuff.
