lmao no. Irys is definitely not a vsinger in anything but title. Her content is way more focused on general entertainment and gaming than singing. If you watched an actual vsinger, you'd be shocked to find (I'm sure) that they grind singing streams with the rare gaming/zatsudan/whatever stream that is nowhere near as popular. I can count the games I remember my favourite vsingers to have played on 1 hand. Irys on the other hand is always playing some shit.

Because most of their content is karaoke or minecraft and each time they stream a game I like they make me loose IQ with how they play it.

I used to watch them but their content is just very stale. No reason to watch holos who all stream the same 5 games and react to them in exactly the same way as seiso moeblobs when you can watch literally anyone else.
They're fun once in a while but their culture just feels too childish for me to stomach more than once a month.

EN: the girls all sound extremely low energy and disengaged from both the stream and their audiences. Also chat moves too fast for any sort of meaningful interactions anyway

also the vtuber models they use irritate me because they're made to look in all directions but they seem to often settle in a "looking slightly upward and to the side" position and makes the character look brain-damaged

it's just a bad experience, it feels like watching a 4kids dub of an anime where all the sound is muted and the original dialogue is replaced by phoned-in actors on bad mics

I really have no idea why they have such huge audiences, it mystifies me

Two reasons mainly. First I actually just hate the community and hololive fans on this board. The never-ending schizos and antis and overblown drama takes out a lot of enjoyment from the experience. And no I'm not going to reddit or discord or wherever to discuss them.
Second I tried out 2views and found that I like it better when I can actually talk to the streamer, rather than me basically being invisible in a chat of thousands. Couple this with the first point and I basically have nobody to discuss it with.

It also feels more impactful to support someone with a low view count / indie / starting up rather than someone with an already established huge fanbase.

More than half the JPs make me feel like a kindergartener when I watch them. Then there’s the Apex addicts and the ones that act like an unironic kindergartener themselves. Which leaves me with Botan, half of Suisei, and half of Marine. So I’ll watch the latter two sometimes, but I don’t really like Botan. No clue about EN.
