Luxiem got MCN channels, then they dodged ccvid, growing on a better rate than HoloX. That's why it looks as if ID3 and Uproar has good numbers for their branches. 1-2k is already high for IDs, let alone 5k+ on Kobo. If EN3 does good, it could easily be attributed to MCN being able to protect the channels from unnecessary culls.

Chinese were new to the vtuber fandom and weren't flagged as bots at that time, though that may be changing as they watch more streams, engage in "botlike" behavior and mingle with literal bots on some streams. Going forward, no one in Hololive or Nijisanji should get sub culled at debut, at least not heavily.

I lost it, but it goes like this, if NijiEN had their MCNs before Luxiem, then MCN was the reason why there's barely any culls for Luxiem/Noctyx during ccvid. The only thing MCN does is protect from sub culls (it does other stuff on the back end but for our purposes the sub cull thing is the most visible change), it won't help them get better CCV. This is just me speculating loudly, but her songs created under Melissa seemed to just be owned by Anycolor with Melissa only getting profits as long as she stays in the company. Anycolor is also able to use the character likeness even after the person behind it retires (as in Lulu's case), so it's very likely that any songs created as part of the character are owned by Anycolor exclusively, even if the liver partially paid for it.
This may have been why she pivoted to making roommate music.

Those songs probably didn't have much investment from Rushia herself I think.
Cover gives the chuubas a free song within budget occasionally, and Rushia never seemed that musically inclined to have Covers of her own (from what I remember, she only had that one Hana no Bourei Cover, her first original, and the recent one - three songs total).
And well... since she broke contract agreements, I don't think Cover really trust her with her end of agreements anymore, which may have been why the channel got nuked.

Rushia is an odd case because she's 'terminated'. Depending on the termination clause stated in her contract it could be as you said or the ownership for the songs could've moved to Cover. No real way to know for certain, sadly. Coco is probably a better example with Weather Hackers, but does it have Topic channel though?

Music for the most part isn't very profitable and is just a money sink/vanity project/advertising tool for a lot of them, even if they get 1-2M views. You need to go really hard at it to the point people aren't just watching your youtube MV but actually buying the songs from 3rd party sources, then you can start making money.
