For a gen that got crippled on subs thanks to the dumbfucks at Cover marketing they are doing ok, all of them (even Sana) found a niche, even if is not the one they started with for some. The turbo weeb, the dark humour ASMR, the sweaty gamer, Haachama (forma de buho) and the Nintendo nerd.

Yeah yeah the gen gets carried by Orca taking what used to be Ayame's niche, but the rest seem to be doing fine, La+ is only 100k or so below and the rest are all around 500k. Lui is the lowest of the three, but not for that much, which is a shame, because Iroha and Koyori are kinda generic, but it is what it is.

Look, ID1 and ID2 are basically budget EN, which is fine and all, but with actual EN generations that's redundant, so rather invest on the actual ID market, sure is less subs, but those are subs that, mostly, no other Holo gets. And Kobo seems to have worked fine from that gamble, gens with 3 members means that can be more risky, so is fine if it doesn't pay out that much.

What kind of talents is Cover trying to get for EN3?

A pianist or a chess master would be good. Another VA actor that would heavily lean into GFE, something kronii and fauna failed to do. A singer who could play instruments like Kobo on top of being charismatic and hardworking (You see a lot of those in Twitch Music). An animator would be nice. A competent FPS player.

Kiara normally streams early morning when most EN is asleep or getting ready for school/work and she tends to end at 1pm.

From 1 PM to 5 PM no one streams. 5 PM if Ina streams then it's Ina for about 2 hours then you wait 1-3 hours for the next stream depending on Ame or Fauna who varies.

But if Ina doesn't stream and Ame does a late night stream you got like 8-9 hours of no one streaming. And most of the HoloEN like streaming at what is 10pm to 11pm CDT which is hell for people who aren't late night watchers.

Getting anyone with talent to be a vtuber is difficult now because the recognizable/most popular ones make people not want to be associated with the whole idea of vtubers when they could use their talents in better areas. You'd have to get a REAL oddball if you want both talent and a vtuber in the western market now.
You've got the NijiEN guys that stream like sex offenders, constantly say gay shit and pander to an extreme.

as long as being a HoloEN talent still means you get a basically guaranteed five figure monthly sc income (plus whatever comes on top from memberships, merch, sponsors etc.) because the inbuilt slavish audience and the brand buff is too strong, you'll have no shortage of hundreds or thousands of 3views, 2views and no-views applying to be part of the gravy train because they want their slice of this golden ticket.

And yeah, that kind of money (more than pretty much any of these worthless girls with no conventionally-marketable skills would otherwise ever see in their lifetimes) can still paper over a lot of the cracks in your list.
If you give me (or pretty much anyone) the choice between "you can only play minecraft and can only collab within Hololive, boohoo, but you'll get paid more than $10k a month" and "you can play whatever and collab with whomever you want, but you stay a pennyless ngmi 2view indie forever", most people wouldn't think long to choose the former

The only way Hololive would lose its luster as the premiere most-wanted adress in (western, female) Vtubing is if the money gravy train would show signs of slowing down so that the "minimum guaranteed income" for a new EN talent is less than whatever the magic number is that is enough to make all the restrictions you listed still worthwhile to put up with, and/or a credible alternative (i.e. a more alluring competitor) establishes itself where all the trendchasers think they are better served and rather flock to.
