this is omote urarano. I would drop links but her twitter is locked and all videos on her YT have been removed.
I found out about her from an artist sharing her message stating she was going on "indefinite
hiatus"
in between that and her retirement in Oct. of 2021 I grew really attached to her
I really loved her design and she had a very cute breathy voice.
she would do her very best to reply to chat and understood a good amount of English.

i can't relate to this within the sphere of vtubers, but there have been a few small let's players i used to watch circa 2010 that just faded away. some due to disinterest, adpocalypse, or medical issues. it's strange to think about, how someone's online presence can just disappear in the blink of an eye. it's something we'll all have to face eventually; from the biggest corpo to the smallest indie. nothing is permanent, just cherish those memories you have and support your favorites as best you can, i guess.

As a result I was well acquainted with the the parasocial aspects of Vtubers.
I've developed a double-arms length distance so I haven't felt any sadness from a vtubers disappearance.

I've sat in her discord calls a few times and she's always seemed like a genuinely nice person. She's talked about it a few times and it makes me very sad. I've been watching from the background for a long time and the genmate keeps trying to steal things that were Duroppu's ideas that she expressed as her own future plans on her channel.

Even though she's back now, I wonder how heavy it must be for her mental. I fucking hate Projek Hikayat.

I'll never forgive Papa Holo for what he took from us. These three were my first introduction to the world of small corpo entubers. Yeah they're all still around but its not the same and knowing they'll never be able to do a group collab again makes me sad.
