Do you think smut is as easy for women as it is for men? There's an overall inability for most smut writers to manage to write an actual plot, and I'm wondering if it would be the same for a gender that is harder to arouse. The hypothesis is that smut is only easy to pull off due to men being easy to arouse, but I have not much evidence to back up any parts of my theory beyond anecdotes.

Do you mean the [Home] button? I think it's fairly necessary because at the end of the day, the series subdirectory, prompt board/form all navigate you away from the rentry page. There needs to be a place that can bring you back.

And if you mean the fact there's a window to the Rentry archive at all, well AA wasn't sure the table format was going to work out long term/not break spectacularly eventually so he chose to keep updating it at the same time. Plus I didn't have a way at the time to display the latest stories added, which I do now.

Originally I had just copied the "Welcome to the Content Directory" portion onto a static page, but since we didn't know it would work long term I left it as-is.

I can't "make" someone interested in a particular kind of content, but what I can do is try to build a rapport and compromise on interests so that it's not mindless busywork. It works well, anyway - compromising and brainstorming ideas with someone generally sparks an interest in most people immediately, and it usually ends up being something we're both happy with. I will add that not getting those comments on these particular fics doesn't really impact me much, as they are just something quick that I wrote while jerking off. As far as I'm aware, there's been no big fics of mine that I poured hard work into that never got loads blown to. Actually... one comes to mind. CocoGura MoriShion Futa FuckFest I acknowledge it's futa, but 9K words and it got no attention whatsoever at the time where I considered it to be my best fic, so that was kind of sad.

Not sure why someone would jack it to a description/guide fic like that. I mean it's a good 'description' fic that provides a lot of stuff to imagine, but it's not exactly something to jack it to directly. Though that's mostly a limitation of the genre where it gives a lot of material for the reader to imagine indirectly but not much in the way of direct jack off material.

It's interesting, but honestly I think it's suffering by dint of moving too fast from scene to scene with not enough breathing room for what's happening to set in. I think you need to work on your descriptions and general 'fluff' in the writing (i.e not WAFF) sense since I feel like this fic needs more than just dialogue and movement/action to carry it.
In your other works having a lack of detail worked to its favor since the assumed modern setting and characters made it all be filled in and made it so your impactful dialogue and narration did its best but for something like this I think you're going to need to slow down, focus more on setting stuff up and making the world be clearer in the mind of the reader.
