i had it trigger with almost anything related to lettering/images/tattoos, was worse directly on the body, but because of that error it took me around 6 hours to finish one character that has a ton of detail to it.
its a gamble, but just make sure you move slowly/carefully, it makes a difference but not too much of one.

i don't mess with stats too often, outside of the personality traits, which directly influence some of the things the AI do, in 2k19 and 20 at least. havent changed them too too much in 2k22 yet. one thing OP suggested changing is both signature/finisher/momentum gain to slow in your match , makes the matches fall more in line with pacing/length as 2k20. it did make a difference for sure
