If you're talking about depression or anxiety yes, but bipolar is more like schizophrenia than either of those. It never goes away and the primary treatment regimen is heavy-duty meds, specifically lithium and antipsychotics. It's not something you just learn to deal with.

If you do not get serious therapy and get rid of the negative influences in your life you will continue to get worse. I have had my prescriptions for both lithium and antipsychotics reduced in dosage reduced through self improvement and meditation and I know multiple people in my support groups that have had similar experiences. The first step of being helped is trying to get help.
