My headcanon is that the sanallite limiter is for amount rather than size. With the limiter on everyone fuses into the one bread dog hivemind that stays by Sana's side, taking the limiter off starts a rapid splitting chain reaction until each and every sanallite is an individual being again.
Makes everyday activities much easier, but when Sana feels the need to just drown in bread dogs after a stream it's as easy as just taking off the limiter and getting bombarded. Fusing them all back together afterwards is a bit of a hassle though.

So it seems all interest in the project from /nasa/ has all but died since the last posts were ignored. I'm debating if its worth continuing or not because it looks like we can either have foreign trade or technology, but not both. I do have an idea for compromise with the Grand Directive. However if there's no longer interest then /nasa/ will return to isolationism. I suppose that now Sana is streaming regularly again with community projects /vtwbg/ writing is obsolete.

But to answer your question about the tortoises, they are just an idea about creatures that would live in the habitats around where we, Sanallites, crashed on the planet in our space station. It would be something to flesh out the world outside just the stories and lore about only us.

Oh great! If you don't mind me trying to take advantage of you for a bit, how would you adapt something like a tortoise for a colder environment? Granted, it doesn't have to be one, the original idea was just for something somewhat slow, that would travel in large groups and could camouflage itself in the tundra(their shells would get covered in moss and other plants), and the moving of hundreds of them would make the land seem like it's flowing like a river. I was honestly leaning more in the direction of something like an armadillo, basically a mammal in a shell, that would outwardly look very much like a tortoise, but without the drawback of cold blood. Another idea was for them to consume rocks with chuubanite(that world's magical element) in it, which would then get processed into special organs that would use it to generate heat.

Sorry if I am bothering you with this, but something like speculative zoology(which this would kinda be) is a really interesting topic to discuss for me.

Another idea is making the tortoises dragon turtles. Which lets them be warm blooded and have reptilian features. Also some dragons have beards and hair. So we get bearded dragon tortoises. The beards would also make tortoises cute, which female Sanalites love cute animals.

tortoises with beards sound cute, but if they're part dragon I'd be worried that they'd be more arrogant and selfish than the humble and patient nature of a normal tortoise.

I don't know how you could get tortoises to enjoy the cold though. maybe if you gathered enough of them close together and then pointed a solar beam down at them their bodies would generate heat that spreads throughout the group.
