Clout aside vtubing and streaming is a 2 way street. The streamer provides a focal point and entertainment but the community is what keeps them alive and popular. Without community engagement the stream is dead, and the community goes beyond what's just in chat.
A streamer that goes out of their way to alienate portions of their community is just hurting themselves, especially when they're attacking artists who are free publicity and work for them. Art that would easily be hundreds of dollars as a commission is casually handed to them daily for them to use in their schedules and thumbnails.
