After seeing YouTube suggest Hololive reminding people that the archive of the HoloFes will be available to people who paid for the event the 20th and Blu Ray release was coming soon, I felt like watching Calli and Rikka's 3D performance of Spiral Tones from Calli's birthday again.

And that's when I wondered: Why weren't there any HoloStars in HoloFes? I don't follow them mostly because of the language barrier (I'm only subscribed to EN and ID members who mainly speak English), but at the bare minimum I know Rikka's got talent and already has a 3D model. Plus they're in Japan, so logistics-wise it'd be easier than getting performances from people in America, Europe, and Indonesia.

So I'm curious as to why Japanese members of Hololive who have been with the company longer than EN and ID girls were not in the festival, but Hololive did have the first generations of EN and ID's 3D debuts in the Japanese paid festival. Have the men been in any of the previous festivals?

This was my first time seeing any festivals, so I don't know if the men had been in any previous ones, or if there's some common knowledge floating around as to why they might not be. Regardless, I'm genuinely glad all of the girls had fun during the festival and hope they can all get together for a dedicated 3D stream sometime soon.

I doubt Roberu and Astel's inclines were (and are) affected by that. If a media is good and has enough exposure (not limited to collabs, but collabs are the most referenced), it will incline. Even Miyabi is inclining as we speak just by doing cute dumb things and variety streams using the exposure that is there.
A bit off-topic, but Kimetsu no Yaiba blew up beyond recognition in 2019 and I didn't see any manga multimedia rivalling that during the pandemic. The only one that's probably going to come close is SpyxFamily and neither that has pandemic buff.

Finally got around to watching Rikka's BD live, it was fun, the part with First Gen was pretty emoi and really nice to see and Rikka's singing remains one of my favorites around.
Th new song at the end was also really good, very energetic though I expected more from the fance with how hyped everyone was, but oh well.

I really enjoy Yurustars Apex too, along with the Survival Corps and Shadowgear ones. During the right level ranked matches, we get to have nice action and coop, with bonus cozy zatsudan during the off time. It’s really a nice combination.
Vsaikyou scrims are too intense for me, good that we have it once in a while but I wouldn’t be able to follow if it’s a regular thing.

Personally, I enjoy the Apex tournament arcs. I agree that JP playstyle is incredibly slow and boring, ending up with a shitty kill orgy in the last rings, but other than that you get some pretty kino moments. 1v3 clutches, racking up double digit kills, griefing via riot drill. More than that, I love the character development and interactions between the chuubas, be it the Stars or others. Jokes, tears, ball-busting, and of course, growth. I am genuinely proud to see Seaweed interact and teach others about Apex, and the fact that others listen and hold him in high regard, you kinda only see this all during tourney arcs. But I can understand why others don't particularly enjoy it, since it's not their cup of tea.

I have no problem at all about tourneys except their play styles. Astel is quite an oddball because he's hyper-aggressive, and Robesan usually plays rrat anyway by sneaking around. But a lobby full of turtles (and now that Robesan also plays turtle)? Might as well switch off the stream and only tune in for the last few minutes.

The thing about last rings is that Gibby has huge utility in his ult and dome, and Caustic is absolutely cancer when the final ring closes, drastically reducing the survival timer for everyone. While Maggie is good at early-mid game harrassing, the stupid JP style of 20 teams in ring 4 make it hard to survive fucking 6 gibby ults back to back without a dome of your own.

No, Cover straight up doesn't allow Hal to put the Holo girls on teams with male Vtubers during the random shuffle anymore, even if the girls have no problems with it and already play Apex with a bunch of dudes like Towa and Matsuri.
It's something they had since Vsaikyou2 and Matsuri had to argue for it orCover would not allow them to take part in it at all.
I guess they could make a special exception and "randomly" put Towa and Astel on the same team but I think Towas team already said they aren't going to take part in the party matches anyway.
