Hey, new trial dev here. I'm interested in trying to improve community feedback and gathering a definitive list of feature requests and suggestions to better the gameplay experience.
Feel free to discuss features you would like, preferably with some details on the mechanic or reasoning, if it's not immediately clear.

Other than that, let's see...
- Server-side trader. Now that the pandemic restrictions are in full retreat a lot of players can't be at their PCs/laptops 24/7. Being able to change trades on the go would be amazing. It would also retain newfags more since a lot of people aren't willing to commit to having their PC on non-stop.
- Options. Player-to-broker options, since otherwise they'd be both complex and both parties would need to be sure that they would be profitable for them.
- Companies/Mutual Funds. Some kind of a collaborative feature, best if it let you still remain anonymous. Separate leaderboard for companies. Maybe some unique mechanics to revive the game, creation of mutual funds/managed indexes?
- Fix the percentages on the front page. Self-explanatory. They are wrong since they divide by current price rather than the price at market close.

Those are the ones I can think of right now, there are a lot more.

You didn't cheat, you spotted an opportunity (Suzy being made into a music channel) and you jumped on it. This is as fair as it gets.
A bit of a shame you weren't able to fully capitalize on it, but at the same time, hey, is is a 3x returns on an invested amount.

Regarding the Suzy incline: the question that remains is whether the API will also now malfunction for her, same as it does for Mori, and what will be the long-term consequences if it does. She has only 1/4th the volume of Mori, so it might take a while for a vicious cycle like Mori's to emerge.

Here, let me dig out my notes on observations and player feedback I've been cultivating over the past year.
>Market patterns are routinely "solved" quickly. This is intentional, but players at the higher levels of play become bored quickly because of lack of things to do that they find engaging. There is a huge burst of activity after any given update, but the update's content is quickly wrung of any viability or experimentation from the higher-end playerbase, and the lull returns. Suggested solution: Small but routine trickle of new things for players to waste money on. Hats are a solid contender here, as the effort required to implement new items is largely done thanks to existing infrastructure and community efforts to have new hats/items ready.
>Players routinely feel that there is no competition beyond oshiboarding, which has been partially replaced by alternative leaderboards such as the "real oshiboard" and things like the Booba/UNITY awards. While this does not seem like a problem on the surface, it is indicative of a critical flaw: Players are relying on making their own fun with the game, rather than the game itself being fun on its own merits. This is an existential problem and may never go away, but a potential solution would be to incorporate "side objectives" like this into the game proper.
>Dead accounts clog up the leaderboard too much. Their positions and shares should go into suspension after a couple of weeks of not trading. Not outright deleted, but a variable that "mutes" the player's position and makes their shares no longer count would go a long way. If possible, make them not count for calculations as well, which leads to:
>Shares from deleted accounts still exist. This has a potential long-term impact on inflation and volatility. Shares not owned by a player should be purged.
>Information gathering is subpar. The design intent of the game makes it clear that players are meant to do their own reps, but the information presented on the site itself is often unhelpful or outright false. The % changes are a good example of this.
>Player engagement easily wanes due to there being minimal risk to position once you're established enough. Trades do matter, but it's significantly harder to make bad trades that will hurt you. Potential solution: Higher risk involvement in the market.
>General sentiment of "number too big" from inflation. Possibly no real solution, as the game is not zero-sum and inflation is unavoidable. To certain people that read this and are already revving up their replies: Market Reset in any form is not a solution, it is a stall tactic, no different in application than Operation Bogration.
There might be some redundancy there, but hopefully this helps.

Mori also doesn't "brap" lately per se (down to 0), she just has much lower views than expected. I think that if you look at i.e. Sora vs. Roboco and compare it to Sora vs. Mori you'll see what I mean - her views are also extremely uneven, similar to Mori and contrary to Roboco's smoother line, but since the differences between a low-view day and a high-view day are smaller, it doesn't manifest in the same way as Mori whose weekly views are usually near the top... as are Suisei's.

Adjusting auto-trader targets should be possible from the market view...it is beyond clunky to have to look at the graphs or chart, open the thing, then adjust. The auto-trader itself truly does not need to exist as a separate page.

Sora braps. She never gets a substantial amount of views, so the drop from a "full" 24h scrape worth of data and a "brapped" one is not nearly as significant as it is with Mori. When you compare her to the rest of the market, or channels that get similar views, her inflation rate basically bottomed out in December.

It takes so much more time than it has to. I usually turn the thing off, manually buy/sell in whatever quantity I want to start for the day, and then use the differences I can see between target/current in zhonkbot to figure out how to set it.

I just use the MOVE data to update my zhonkbot. I don't even look at the graphs on NASFAQ anymore, except to double-check weird-looking values or to shitpost.
